Ice rink. basketball, pickleball, tennis courts, swimming pool...etc.) Came here for a dinner to celebrate the marriage of a newly wedded couple. We were on the 3rd floor at the Quichena Terrace. There were about 10 tables in the room. So, not a tiny intimate wedding celebration but not a super large one either compared to pretty much most other weddings I've been to in my life which probably had 2 - 3 times as many tables in the room. There was a 6pm reception and then dinner at 7pm. At the reception, servers were walking around handing out hors d'oeuvres to the guests. Service was kinda "meh." We were standing around in a corner and saw one of the servers walk up to some other people and serve them some hors d'oeuvres, inches away from us but then they turned and walked off in another direction without actually approaching our own group to offer us some hors d'oeuvres. That was kinda weird. I ended up wandering off into the dining room and grabbing an hors d'oeuvres for myself when I saw another server with a different tray of hors d'oeuvres on it. Other than the one server who spun on their heels without offering anything to us, service from everyone else was pretty decent. I think there were about 4 different hors d'oeuvres. Two of them had meat in them so I couldn't eat those. The other two had seafood in them, which I still eat being pescatarian so I was able to enjoy those. One was a prawn tempura and the other was a crab cake. Loved the crab cake! The bar had 4 different Mocktails available. My daughter and I both ordered something called a Stingray which consisted of pineapple juice, orange juice and soda. It wasn't bad but we both decided that we prefer the taste of a Shirley Temple over a Stingray. Dinner was buffet style. Lots of different options for various dietary restrictions. The food was very good. Especially the Sablefish. Oh wow...soooo tender. I couldn't resist going back for seconds! I try to eat seafood sparingly and veer more towards Vegetarian/ Vegan most of the time but this was one of those times when being Pescatarian is really a lot more fun than being Vegetarian! Hadn't had Sablefish in a long time and this was sooooo good! Not a member here so can't really comment on the facilities but was suitably impressed with the food!

Due to severe short staffing at the nursing home during the pandemic, all the residents at the nursing home received sub-standard care and the mortality rate was high. The yoga one is actually quite large for downtown and has wooden beams and can be heated with infrared. I took the lunchtime class with Victoria who is a legit yogi! The class was more on the serious yoga side rather than yoga for fitness sake. We started with a couple breathing exercises and then we moved into poses, which were performed in sets of two. Even though this wasn't "flow", it was actually fairly challenging to hold the poses in this sequence and there were many I had never tried. Victoria came around and corrected people's form, which was super helpful. She also demonstrated every move. I would like to come back and try the aerial yoga class.

The instructors here showed an alarming lack of professionalism and misused their authority to unfairly target and humiliate him. Children should feel safe, supported, and encouraged--not shamed, blamed, or bullied by the very people entrusted to care for them.

Want a review on the gym aka fitness centre? Here it is…read more As far as a gym goes? Hands down, no questions asked, top 5 worst gyms I have ever been to in my life. And I been to gyms in 3rd world countries like Laos and Cambodia. What's a good comparison to this gym? It's like a hotel gym but worse. This gym is very very small. If you actually lift bro, you won't last in this gym. It totally makes sense why you can only book 1 hour and max of 20 people, because if there were 20 people in there, there would be no space left to workout, it's really that small. There's no equipment in this gym, it gives you the bare basic amount of gym equipment to call it a gym, there's like 5 treadmills, 1 stairmaster, a couple bo-flex apparatuses. There's some free weights and some squat racks. But yea this gym is pretty bad in terms of what you have to workout with. If you pay for a community center membership for about $500 a year, you would be bored within a month due to the lack of size lack of equipment. I came without my phone because being on your phone is a huge distraction at the gym, even having ear pods in, you're not gonna totally focus on your workout. Kind of a bad idea because there is NO music whatsoever here. It's deadly quiet. Even the people that lift, the noises of people exercising is quiet, top 5 quietest gyms. Being new to Vancouver, I liked the thought of a "community center" where ppl in the community can get ripped together, but there is none of that in this gym. Definitely a 1 star gym, gonna give it a 2 star reviews, because the center probably does good things for the community, the staff here is friendly, I saw some kids workin out downstairs. Yea you couldn't pay me to workout here again yall. Keepin it real as always

Been saying it for years that I can't hear but the tests my docs send me to only tested for tone in a dead quiet situation. So apparently the tests show I really can't hear. I'm not just imagining it. It's not just lack of paying attention. I really don't hear. finally mom can't say I have selective hearing lmao. It all started with a Facebook ad. For free hearing test for those over 40 and after a bit of asking it's free test and free trial for 30 days with the hopes that it helps you, that you notice its difference in your daily life and activities and that you'll subsequently end up keeping them. Obviously you can be concerned if there's anything upfront. There isn't. No costs at all upfront. I was not aware we walk away with hearing aid same day though. That was just amazing. I walked in around 1:30 pm and at 4 pm I'd been tested and fitted with a device. And apparently they can even connect you with resources and options for financial help etc. First step. Just get yourself tested. It's free to be tested. Take it one step at a time. Oh. And they don't make grandma style hearing aids only. You can have trendy hidden in ear pieces that come in colors. Being very self conscious and refusing to be seen as un-abled I had put off doing hearing aids for years. I'm glad I did it today. Highly recommend. From time I reached out on Facebook to contacting me was less than 24 hours and within 1 week I was booked and seen and fitted.
