Front desk clerk was not friendly and throughout check in delivery on hotel policies was very condescending accusative. Demanding we return our keys at check out as though additional charges would apply if not. Hotel room was average, AC was not working the best but luckily there was a tower fan available to help move air. Thankfully the hotel has an elevator, working ice machine and ample parking. For the price it's not a horrible offering.

The Air Force have improved their accommodations similar or in this case better compare to the hotel chains off-base. The room was clean and pleasant odor from their air filtration system. Individual control temp (heat and cool) air in each room. Within walking distance to most training school house. The only other base lodging that compare to this one is KMCC inn at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Also, this review is only for TYER HOUSE as I have not seen the other buildings.

A couple of the other rooms looked a little less contemporary based on the online photos, but they may very well be wonderful as well. Breakfast was fantastic, and included fresh eggs from the chickens in the yard. Since we stayed over Christmas, we met pretty much the whole family, which gave it an even more home-y atmosphere. We felt very welcome, and would definitely stay there again! Hopefully at a better time of year though, so to better enjoy the porch and large property. But my choices are limited due the fact I am in a wheelchair. I is extremely hard to find a B&B or cottages that are wheelchair accessible, almost never. But Government Street Cottages has a REAL WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ROOM!!!!. It is wonderfully decorated as well. Parking is great. Large bathroom, plenty of room to maneuver. Roll-In Shower. We can't wait to go back for a few days to just get away again. And the location is just down the street from great shopping, dinning and entertainment. I would recommend to bring a cooler if you plan a long visit. It has a microwave and a small fridge as you would find in most hotels (only so much room). This would give you the option of storing more food related items and drinks, especially if you bring the kiddos. Cant wait to return. You just don't find places like this offered for the wheelchair community. Great job Government Street Cottages!!!
