I passed it all good…read more But when I got to the part where I had to take my practice driving text was horrible First off, I was under the impression that I'm driving in my subdivision, not all the way in New Orleans or wherever we were I know it was not my neighborhood at least that's what was on the paper that I signed my name on so that made me uncomfortable and then I'm driving for a full four hours with no brakes so at this point, my legs are falling asleep Just tiring also my driving instructor was very disrupting He was on the phone the whole time wha tapping his feet on the ground And I was practically running errands I don't know don't sound too professional And also, they call at last minute I was on vacation when they called so I had to pay a $50 reschedule fee. I paid that then I showed up to the practice test Not to mention at the end of the practice test, the paper that's supposed to tell me what I did wrong what I need to fix and all of that was just blank Nothing on it then a couple days later they schedule my actual driving test. I show up one minute late and my driving instructor is already gone now they want me to pay $75 Do they really think people are made out of money? Like I paid 550 starting then another 50 Now they want 75 Like common i'm broke I'm just trying to get my drivers license it shouldn't be this hard Very unorganized !! I liked the fact that I could reach someone when I called and they were able to answer my questions. I signed my daughter up on their website and selected the class schedule. I had pay a deposit and the rest was due at the first lesson. Well something came up and at the last minute I needed to change the date. I called them and it was no problem. The morning of class we arrived and they were well organized and well prepared. They even had coffee and pastries. Everything was on schedule. Parents are required to attend the first hour and then it's the teenagers for the next two weekends. My daughter attended and passed all of her tests. Finally she was ready to hit the road with one of their instructors. She had to complete 8 hours and take a test before getting her license. They prepared her for everything and now she has her license. I definitely recommend Drive Dat Academy. They are a no nonsense company that takes driving seriously. The don't cut corners and I feel that they prepared my daughter.

My daughter did very well & she learned a lot. Now she will take 4 sessions of 2 hours worth of driving. I have been very pleased so far & would highly recommend them. I have had other people recommend them to me as well.

There are leaks in the ceilings, constant problems with the A/C, blindsiding, high turnover of staff and so much more. If you're labeled a smart kid, they prepare you for highschool. If not, you will likely spend a good chunk of highschool paying for it. That's only on the value of the school's education. As a child, a legal minor, I was told that I would be condemned to hell if I got an abortion, transitioned to a different gender, or voted Democrat. And that's just what I can recall five years later. That seems awfully religiously (and politically) motivated for a school that isn't officially affiliated with any religion. And this might seem like typical Catholic rhetoric, but we weren't actually taught anything you would actually learn in a religion class, I didn't see a Bible ONCE. We just had moral superiority and religious flavored threats shoved down our throats. After leaving this school I have been told that the incentive behind its founding in the 1963 was desegregation in Louisiana schools. Of course, the school would never admit to that and I'm not old enough to confirm it, but I would believe it after witnessing how many of my non-white or even non-Christian peers were treated. Socially? I witnessed on multiple occasions bullying and verbal altercations turn physically violent, and teachers never did anything to deescalate the situation or break the kids up. I don't personally know anyone who didn't have some form of social anxiety or awkwardness after leaving this school. The social environment is the human equivalent of broiler chickens pecking each other's feathers out due to stress. Don't send your children here. There are many better and more nurturing options out there. The public school districts around genuinely aren't bad enough for this to be an option. If an administrator is reading this, please treat these children better. They are kids, blank slates, and you aren't teaching or even encouraging them to be good people.
