I don't always leave reviews on Yelp or other sites, but I felt like it had to be done. On some…read morewebsites, their reviews noted how they scheduled appointments but never showed up. The owner responded to several of those with excuses about computer issues or whatnot. I figured those were isolated incidents. My first clue something was wrong with this company should have been when I called and called and called trying to reach them. I left several voicemails but did not receive a call back. It took more than twenty times (over three days) to contact about an upcoming move. When I finally got in touch with someone, he was pretty friendly. He moved things around to get me in on short notice. I told him I needed it done by Wednesday at the latest (this was on a Sunday). He got me in. No problem he said. He told me the guys would meet me at 9am at the storage unit. I tried calling SIX times the night before to just confirm it. No answer. Trying to have some faith, I got up the next morning and went to wait for them just in case they showed up. While I waited, I called more than 10 times. No answer. I left voice mail after voice mail. Nothing. I waited for over an hour and realized they definitely were not coming. I finally had to just rent a UHaul and move a three bedroom home by myself. I had no other choice. I have no idea how these people run a business when they fail to do even something as simple as check voicemail. It's bad enough to ignore potential business. But when you have CURRENT customers who are trying to reach you, it's probably important to contact them and see what is going on. What really irritated me was that the guy called me at around 5 that same day and tried to pretend like he had originally scheduled it for Thursday rather than Wednesday. I reminded him how I said I needed it no later than Wednesday. My wife was with me when I called and she had written down Wednesday. The truth is they just messed up and then tried to make me think the mistake was MINE. Terrible company. Ridiculous business model. Whatever you do, please pay attention to all the negative reviews on ALL of the sites. Note how several people have been stood up or ghosted after setting up a move with these people. Save yourself massive headaches and just go with ANYONE else. Seriously.

The movers, Larry and William, quickly and carefully moved everything into our apartment and even made sure everything was in the correct room. More than that they were so funny I would have to say they were the highlight of our move! I'm so glad we called. Capitol City Movers will be our first choice next time we need to move.

TLDR: WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER WITH A BUNCH OF LIARS AND THIEVES WHO STOLE OVER $20K OF WEDDING…read moreAND KEEPSAKE JEWELRY FROM ME AND WILL ABSOLUTELY SCREW YOU OVER!!!!! NEGATIVE STARS. The process started off with a call with Mike, the owner, where I gave a very detailed description of our 1800 sq ft 3 bedroom apartment with full kitchen, all the furniture we have, all the children's items, etc. Agreed on a FULL MOVE INCLUDING THEM DOING THE PACKING and TOWING A CAR. 4-6 movers showed up the morning of the move around 8AM, looked around and I kid you not, said "uhh we can't move all this stuff, we were only told there'd be like 20 boxes".... In what world does a fully lived in 1800 sq ft 3 bedroom apartment and full kitchen for 2 adults and 2 kids living in it fit into 20 boxes?? More like at least 20 boxes per room! After couple back and forth phone calls with Mike, essentially "there was nothing they could do". COMPLETELY SCREWED US OVER. Our rent was ending and we had no other choice but to get out of the apartment. They ended up loading the truck while MY HUSBAND AND I DID ALL THE PACKING. They couldn't fit half our stuff on there. They couldn't transport our car like agreed. We had to rent our own truck and drive it down ourselves along with the car they were supposed to transport but didn't. Then, it took them TWO DAYS TO UNLOAD stuff into the new house. A couple days later I noticed SO MUCH OF MY JEWELRY MISSING FROM THEIR BOXES, TOTALING OVER $20K!!! That's right, they TOOK THE JEWELRY and left the boxes hoping I wouldn't notice. Called Mike who "talked with the movers" and "nobody said they took anything".... OF COURSE THEY'RE NOT GOING TO ADMIT IT. But in the short time between the actual move to me finding the jewelry missing, NO ONE ELSE HAD BEEN TO MY HOUSE OR HAD ACCESS ASIDE FROM THE MOVERS. The police have been contacted. You have been warned. Literally go with any other moving company to give yourself a peace of mind on what is an already stressful event to begin with.

I wish I"d had the fortitude to write this review sooner; it may have saved Lili S. from her…read moreanguish. My sincere apologies, Lili, if you're reading this!! I, too, lost at least $10K of keepsake jewelry crafted by my father, in addition to other items fancied by the three Watts movers. One of them basically kept me distracted while the other two robbed during the loading procedure. My move was from WV to GA, and my daughter supervised the unloading, so she had no idea that anything was missing. Unlike a previous move I had, nothing was itemized and accounted for. I filed a police report; and, like Lili S., I called Mike Watts. He said each mover told him they didn't take anything (why would they?) and they didn't see any jewelry. These were cherished pieces; if my father was still alive, I don't know how I would've told him what happened. I used Watts' moving services because I had used them for long-term storage. When I finally requested my stored items, I was shocked at the small amount I received. I am not at all convinced everything was there. PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER THIS COMPANY IF YOU OWN ANYTHING OF VALUE!!!!!
