Best Western Lancashire Manor Hotel - lancashire manor hotel bedrooms

Best Western Lancashire Manor Hotel

Three family members recently stayed here while visiting me. My review is based on my visits to…read morethem at the hotel, and other points they mentioned to me. I have to say that the location within an industrial estate leaves me a bit taken aback! However, the hotel is easily accessed by motorway, and the smart decor, extensive function rooms, landscaping and large car park can still make this place a winner. One thing that swayed my family's choice is that one of the party needed a wheelchair-accessible room with shower (as opposed to a shower in a bath), which Lancashire Manor was able to offer. The food seemed OK - I tasted some of my sister's gnocchi which was alright, although I will admit that I don't have much idea regarding perfect gnocchi taste and texture. It seems to be a popular venue. We noticed a wine tasting event on the Friday night (perhaps a tasting menu of food paired with wines) which was sold out. And on the Saturday a large wedding reception was in progress. Lancashire Manor Hotel scores eco-points for offering a free-of-charge electric vehicle charging point plus a woodchip fuel biomass boiler, the latter of which which I would like a guided tour of some time!

Stayed in a large villa for comfort, but the Internet on the hotel grounds would not reach to the…read morevilla I was staying in with my husband.. bad service. Telephone also did not work and staff seemed irate with the mentioning of any issues. Was moved to a smaller room and was told to be "grateful" because it was more expensive, despite the villas being larger. The middle aged woman at the front desk attempted to excuse the issues by saying "I travel the world and stay at 5 star hotels, this happens with the wifi all the time at any upscale hotel", when I was in-fact visiting and am well traveled.. this has never happened to me and the comment was of a patronizing tone. Nail salon/spa has no drills, only nail files. Only go if you want a mani pedi or gel. They offer acrylic, but the work is horrible with no drills.. though the nail-tech has a great personality. Would definitely not recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

This place seems to have been around for ever. Decent pub/ restaurant that always seems to have…read moretheme nights to entertain. Not stayed in the hotel yet but is quite good by all accounts and also has an adjoining leisure centre that the guests can use.

I couldn't fault this hotel. My youngest son contacted them…read moreto plan his wedding day and the staff were absolutely superb. All the planning was done by them, while the two families chose to provide gifts, wedding cake etc. A room for the night was included for the couple and those of us who didn't want the problem of getting home late at night booked double rooms for a very reasonable price with an excellent breakfast included. The wedding itself was smoothly conducted, with a registrar present and all guests had a celebratory drink of bucks fizz or natural orange juice as preferred. There was a Wedding Breakfast as I have been told to call it actually a glorious meal. We also had full use of the function room for the evening, with its own bar, right through until everyone had had enough; although some of us went through to the adjoining public bar as they had two real ales on hand-pump! Drinks prices were (for an hotel) very good, in fact, the same as pub prices around the area. The rooms were basic, but very comfortable and, for most of us, on the ground floor and very close to the function room. The car-parking area is next to the hotel and ample for all of our needs. The location is perfect as it is surrounded by fields and trees, yet is right next to the East Lancashire Road (A580), so very easy to find.
