Right when we walked in, the host took us to our reserved table with a delicious charcuterie board. We did a private tasting, and Brian, the winemaker, actually gave us a behind the scenes tour. The best highlight was when he let us taste a brand new, unreleased Barbera and Pinot Noir blend straight out of the tank! Such a cool, VIP experience. When we came back to our table, other wine club members were asking us all about it. I'm not gonna lie, I felt like I was that girl lol. The barrel room also has this moody lighting that is perfect for photos, and the entire staff was super welcoming. Sharon our server took great care of us. We met our excellent guide David in the Vista Las Palmas neighborhood. We go on many historic and architectural tours/walking tours at home and when we travel and this one was exceptional. David did a great job blending architecture, history and Hollywood glitz in his tour. He knew his stuff and he did it with great humor. The pictures also helped. He also did a good job of keeping us in the shade since it was zooming towards 90 degrees. We cannot recommend this tour enough especially if David is leading it. When we return I will look into other Historical Society tours and hope David is our guide!

The hike itself was fantastic along the creek and crossing it was fun. Scott was upfront with us about getting feet wet but it was a lot of fun jumping rocks across the creek. The waterfalls were awesome as well as the extra trail to a scenic overlook where you can see all the way to Palm Springs. Scott also took numerous pics for us along the way. Scott was amazing! He was able to accommodate a tour within the hour time we had. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed Scott's knowledge of the area.
