I have been driving around the city often while in Winnipeg. I was in the St. James area, heading to my favourite Petro-Canada on Ellice Avenue. Instead, I spotted this one ahead of me and decided to check it out. This gas station is new. You can only enter in one direction and, in turn, exit one way. I was waiting behind an SUV. The woman returned to it from the convenience store and then left. I pulled ahead. What I wasn't expecting was a male staffer approaching my car and asking me to pop the fuel cap. It's a partially full-service station. This turn of events was different. He asked me what fuel I wanted. I said unleaded and to fill it up. He did just that. My vehicle didn't look dirty to him, so he didn't clean my windshields. It's likely due to my driving through a downpour last night. He filled my gas tank, put the cap back on, and walked away. It was weird. I sat there to determine whether I needed to go inside the store or if he'd return. I decided to go inside. What was unique about this gas station is that all staff were Indigenous men. I had never seen that before. It was cool. I had a helpful man guide me through swiping my various cards. The payment machine moved on the counter, so I had to hold it down with one hand. The swiping order is the usual: 1. Petro Points card 2. 407 ETR discount card 3. Credit card Everything worked well. I managed to save $1.25 with my 407 ETR card. I thanked the man and left. I saw the man who helped fuel my car. I thanked him as well. He smiled and wished me a great day. There were a number of signs that I saw near my gas pump. If you are at this gas station from midnight to 6 am, you have to prepay for gas. There was another sign that stated to "show your status card." I am assuming that it is referring to the card that a First Nation citizen can get to access certain benefits, such as tax exemptions for fuel. I used to be in tune with such details. It's nice that am getting reacquainted with them during my brief stay in Winnipeg. This gas station was clean both inside the store and around the gas pump. I briefly looked at the snacks when I was at the store. I didn't need any, but I was pleased with the selection of chips and cold drinks. I'm glad that I dropped by this Petro-Canada station. I got my vehicle's gas tank filled and learned a lot while I was here. (259)

Avoid This Place - Terrible Customer Service…read more I had an awful experience here. The staff is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. They act like they're doing you a favor just by acknowledging you, and any basic request is met with attitude. Customer service is clearly not a priority. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere--this place isn't worth it.

He comes to me with one of his other coworker and says there is car waiting outside while there was no one outside. And I said I'm almost done and just drying the doors as it was -26 with a windchill of -39 outside and was 6:30 am But then he stated to me " that you do this all the time" which really stuck me. And i was really upset and asked him how many times had he seen me because no body wants to be in there for no reason. And I said there's no car outside but he said it's waiting at the other bay which didn't make any sense to me and I told him ask the guy to come to this bay and I'll move my car which I did. But then I needed to talk to this rude employe and then I went in and see it was his car that he was eager to wash and wanted the customer out from his property. So I asked him nicely that how many times have he asked me to move my car and he said it was last year only once which really pissed me off. I had been their regular customer but still this place have no respect for their customers even thou I told him it's a commercial vehicle. This really hurt me so I would be looking forward to bringing this issue to the store owner as he/she might not be aware of what's going on. But this is really unacceptable asking customer to leave the bay so he can get his car in because I saw him using the codes instead of loonies to wash his own car. Thanks

The first bay available on the right side was three spots away from the exit BUT on the soap setting it did very little washing at all. All it did was rinse away the dirt sitting on the very top of the SUV BUT did not remove the dirt...So I thought that it was maybe it was just a bad bay so I moved one spot on the right side over towards the exit. Again it did not remove the dirt on the SUV and I saw the attendant and called him over to tell him that two stalls were not washing on the soap setting.... He said he was a car detailer and that I had to now use the brush to clean my vehicle....So I had no choice but to now used the brush that was oozing pink foam. I went around the Rogue twice then I rinsed the Rogue...SUV STILL DIRTY. WHOEVER owns this place lowered the pressure so bad that the bays won't clean your vehicle using the SOAP setting...BRUSH cleaned some dirt but not all.. DON"T GO HERE WAS YOU ARE GOING TO WASTE YOUR MONEY JUST LIKE I DID

Tips: - This Shell station accepts Air Miles…read more - It has a Bank of Montreal (BMO) ATM. - It has sandwiches and lottery tickets. This Shell station was steps away from the apartment building in which I used to live in Winnipeg. After work, now and again, I'd stop by to get a heat-and-eat hamburger or sub, or play PROLINE (sports lottery), and then walk home. I've always loved getting a sandwich or a burger at a convenience store. I can't explain why. I just do. I got into playing PROLINE at this store. I didn't bet much. My wager was typically between $2 and $5. I'd select NHL, NBA, and CFL games. I was good at it. When you pick underdogs, a $2 ended up being just over $30 when your game picks are good. I haven't played in years. It seemed exciting back then. I simply put my money into food and beverages these days. This store has always had an ATM. It's a BMO one. I never had a BMO chequing account, so I never used it. When I owned a car, it was handy after work to fuel my car here and then head home. I always collected Air Miles by swiping my card at the pump and then paying for gas before fuelling. You can order items from this store through Uber Eats. I've never done it, but I recall seeing a sign for it at the store. I'm glad that this gas station is still alive and kicking. A lot has changed in Osborne Village. The gas station is pretty tiny, but it does have a convenience store attached. I dare not ask how old the bags of chips on the wall are though. As for something special about this station - if you came here in a snowmobile, you have to pay before pulling away from the pumps. Guess some snowmobilers did a gas n' dash in the past. They did some remodeling in the store and it looks like Rey are planning something cool to be providing in a while. I enjoy stopping in here when working. As of Sept 12 2019 the offer chicken and waffles and they are amazing as is the price! I really enjoyed them and the maple syrup made it that much better :) Worth a stop in when your in the neighborhood and I highly recommend this place!
