You'd go once and have a sticker that's washable/reusable and wouldn't peel off.

Anxious when I passed the perimeter. But seconds later I spotted the sign. I guess if you're going to offer meats from locally raised, free range animals I guess you better be close to the farmers. Frigs commitment to quality is perhaps unparalleled. They buy from Manitoba farmers, butcher everything on site, cure their own meats in a smoker out back using hickory and mesquite (no nitrates here), and guarantee that everything is gluten free (no filler!). In an almost uncomfortably small space, they manage to stock an extensive supply of product including all the usual cuts of bison, from steaks to burgers. But there were a few surprises too including corned bison and an intensely smoky, sweet bison bacon that I dream about to this day. My head exploded when I found goose, and I was also delighted finding elk from not too far away Stonewall which I made my purchase of the day turning it into one the best meatloaves I've ever made. If you're still a little skittish about those wild meats, there's still a full selection of beef and pork in all the obligatory cuts, but after spending a few minutes in Frigs, these somehow seemed borderline boring.

Called Lucky Jefferson to inform them and was hopeful I could exchange the items like seafood city and superstore's policies are, but they said I could not return or exchange them. It's a small grocery store but I found everything I needed to make my Indian meal here. On the left side is the produce and frozen foods and the other side sells spices, canned/jarred items and various rice and flour. They also offer Western Union services. Oh and did I mention there are 2 counters that sell hair weave supply in there too? It was a little different as I've never seen hair weaves sold in a grocery store before but aren't we all about "one stop shopping" now? I saw lots of items there like regular and whole wheat naan (fresh and frozen), injera, corn tortillas, papadam, and roti. The produce and frozen meat section are pretty small. I don't think I saw any fresh meat. They carry halal items like chicken and goat. There's also lots of frozen Indian dishes - kinda like the frozen food section in the main stream grocery stores except this one is full of Indian items. Great offering of prepackaged spices (whole and ground) - no bulk section except when it comes to pulses like peas and lentils. Depending on the spice, they come in small portions that will cost you about $2 each. Not bad although some of the spices come in larger amounts than I would want to buy since I don't make Indian dishes all the time. There are also lots of dried chillies available too. Service was nice as one lady helped me look for items even though I was about pay. It's nice cause one of the items I was looking for was actually under a different name than what my recipe called for - I would've never found it if she hadn't helped me! Note: They do take credit card but I think there was a note about a minimum of $5? Something like that. But I don't like to use credit at these small stores - margins are already low in grocery so I don't want them losing 3% out to Visa or whoever.
