I was trying to top up my phone with a wrong voucher for an hour even called CHATR and told me the voucher PIN numbers were wrong... I kept going there for week straight asking to see management no one called me back and kept being ignored... I went back a month later and buy another voucher and clearly said CHATR and the cashier sold me a telus voucher agan without me knowing...again I wasn't able to top up... after causelong a scene manager came and looked at both vouchers and tells me they are TELUS and not CHATR!! He says he will talk to his boss and ask for resolunion.. two weeks went by no one contacted me back!!! Went there several times the manager kept saying he will call me!!! Then 3 weeks later he calls me saying it's all my fault I asked to buy TELUS and not CHATR and they will not refund me or credit my 120$!!! I thought this person had serious mental issues when he ran out of the gas station like a crazy person saying I can't throw my garbage out from my vehicle in the garbage can. He then threw the cover on the ground, grabbed my takeout leftovers and walked towards my vehicle. I grabbed my garbage to stop this very unstable individual before he escalated it to another level. When I told him that I would never buy gas from this station ever again and leave a bad review, his response was "I don't care". Being the consumer, I can choose where to spend my hard earned money and did such by going across the highway to Ultramar. What a difference. I call out "Hello, hello." Repeatedly. I walk up to the counter. Again saying "Hello." No one is there. No one answers. I wait. After only a few minutes? A young woman pulls herself up into standing position, off to the side. I assume she was sleeping or sitting low on a chair, playing her cell phone? "Yes." She said. I find myself looking at a young woman. Possibly 18-21 yrs old. Very heavy set. Light brown hair, dyed mostly blonde, with bright pink dye across the top of her head. Caucasian. I told her I tried to fill up outside, but the pump displayed that I need to prepay. She says "yes. " In perfect English she explains. She explains that people steal gas and don't pay, but drive off. I remind her that they do have cameras, so the police would find the peoples She gets a snarky attitude and said that's too much work. I ask her if they accept any other cards for points? She said yes, the Triangle card. I get it out of my wallet. I try to hand it to her. Both her hands are in her pocket. I say here is my card, as I motion it toward her. She tells me to scan it. I asked where. She points with her chin, towards where I am standing. Her hands still in her pocket. I ask where. She points with her chin again. I don't understand where or what she is pointing to, since she doesn't use her hands. I look around the bank debit machine. Hidden behind it is. Another scanner. I pick it up and place it beside the debit machine, so myself and future people can see it. I then scan my card. She angrily, in a huff, reach over, grab that scanner and SMACK IT DOWN! Back behind the debit machine scanner!!!! LOUDLY!! I tell her I will pay bank debit. I scan my bank card. It doesn't work?!?! I say, oh, it isn't working? SHE SAYS... "That's because I CANCELED IT!! You are not welcome in MY store!" I said "what?" She said.. " that's right! I cancelled it! You aren't welcome in my store, so, you can leave!" I was shocked! First? She was hiding behind the counter. Then she was absolutely rude, in not showing me where the scanner was, or to even offer to scan the card! Then? She slammed that scanner down? For no reason other than her bad attitude?! Then she refuses to let me pay for gas???? This girl has BAD attitude. Horrible customer service! This Petro-Canada station was the closest one to my hotel. It is also next door to the Starbucks…read morecafe that I frequented daily during my stay in Ottawa. I filled up my car's gas tank before I headed back home. There are plenty of pumps. The station is clean. I didn't have a chance to go into the convenience store. I already had my Starbucks beverage with me. I was good with what I had. The gas price here is standard. There are tons of parking spots if you need to run into the store or take a break before driving off to your destination. (219)

It had steady business. I had no problem finding a free pump. I tried paying at the pump, but the authorization was declined. I tried it again and it did the same thing. It was odd. The reason why this review gets a high rating is my seeking help from the man at the convenience store attached to this gas station. I couldn't tell if it was an issue with my credit card or the pump. I asked if he could pre-approve an amount for me. We went through the process of approving $70 worth of gas on my credit card. This transaction was also denied. It proved to me that there was something weird happening with my credit card. I thanked him for his efforts troubleshooting with me. I sat in my car and called my credit card company. It is known to do fraud checks. It decided to initiate a check and put a hold on my card when I tried to pay for gas at the pump. I find my credit card company to be odd. I've been in Ottawa for a week and you now flag a gas pre-authorization on it? I got the hold taken off my credit card. I was then able to pay at the pump. I swiped my Petro-Points card to earn points, my 407 ETR card to get a discount for each litre of gas, and them my credit card to pay. It worked at long last. Woo hoo! I successfully filled my gas tank up. I was happy. It was way too much work after lunch, but I'm glad that I was still alert. It's a decent gas station. I'd return here again to fill up my car's gas tank and hope that my credit card is hold-free due to a perhaps random fraud check. (238)
