This was my first pregnancy. I had gone in for my 32 week check up and mentioned I was having some…read moreconsistent contractions. They chalked it up to not enough water. Fair enough. I drank more water, still had contraction and the next week lost my mucus plug, was having pelvic pressure, and back pain while all still having my contractions. My PC Doctor told me to head straight to my OB which I tried calling Siouxland for half an hour before someone answered. So from 8:00-8:30 no one answered. I got a hold of someone, told them what was happening and they said they'd talk to a Doctor. An hour later I was waiting in their parking lot for a call. Finally I got one back and they weren't concerned, but would do a NST if I wanted which I did. They did one baby looked fine and there WERE some contractions going on. Again. No doctor checked my cervix and they sent me home. The following day the contractions were getting worse so I called AGAIN. They said if I want another NST or to get looked at I could, but again no urgency or concern on their part for what was going on. So they wanted me to to drive over an hour back to their clinic from my job but I told them I couldn't so they sent me to a different hospital that was closer. Which I sat at the new hospital's reception for an hour because nothing was sent over from Womens for me to get checked at this new hospital. Long story short I was in preterm labor for at LEAST 2 days. Ended up with a hospital bill from the place who actually took me seriously, an ambulance ride because I was 3 centimeters dilated, completely effaced, and had a bulging bag. My baby came 6 weeks early and I had a completely different hospital in Omaha deliver my baby who was in the NICU for 2 weeks. THEN once I'm out I have my 6 week check up with them (Women's) and they don't even look at me. I had an accessory lobe on my placenta and a small tear and a few other things I figured since they didn't look at me or take me serious previously they'd at the very least check. But I wasn't. Also the money that you down pay for, even if you don't have the baby with them they take part of the money. If you're going to use this clinic I'd say at the very least avoid Doctor Avery. I had good experiences with everyone but her. So, again, long story short, I now have 2 new hospital bills and a bill from the ambulance ride that could have been avoided if someone would have taken the time to actually look into what was going on.

I called and spoke with Christine and Siouxland Podiatry and she was very helpful and friendly, and offered the office email to send the scanned image of the X-Ray and she would have a doctor take a look. Of course they couldn't give me an official diagnosis, but they were willing to take time to look at the image and give me their "off the record" opinion on the steps to take until I got back to the US and could receive proper treatment. Of course this was a very unusual situation everyone involved was in, but they were extremely understanding and resourceful in giving me professional advice I was hoping for. I can't thank this office enough.

I am quite disabled diagnosed in 1973 w/RA. 50+ yrs later it didn't get better. In fact now I have painful neuropathy in my right side, need a knee replacement for a year. The pain can be excruciating. I can't work. I applied for financial aid in September. I had computer issues which has caused me to reapply because that's what Tracey said. I did but there's a document from the SD DSS that I need to get my application completed. Penny at the State tells me I don't need when I called. I told her that Tracey is anal retentive & insists. Well Penny didn't send it she sent me a new application There's a urgency to get some medical care & financial aid. Tracey apparently can spend 10 minutes on the phone with me telling me how she can't/won't call Penny & ask her to fax the document that would have taken 4 minutes.
