Because I always get three quotes for a major purchase (in this case, a land loan), I checked on the internet and compared. CNB had the best rates and terms relative to our needs. One thing that amazed me is that they service 100% of the loans they set up--they don't re-sell them. I still have my loan with them. We have been a happy customer for three years now. Once when I missed an automatic payment because I made an error with setting it up in my checking account, the loan officer called me with a reminder. So I was able to make the fix and get it on track. Now when did you last experience such individualized customer service from any regional or nationwide bank!

Their system is so much better than most of the banks around here. Some of the other banks take days to make your funds available. DAYS..Even cash deposits are at times uncredited,again- for days ..NOT Centra. Centra also doesn't try to rack up on overdraft fees. I had a horrible time with Citi Financial my cash deposits would take days to show up in my account and by then I would have used my debit card for minor things. Each time I used my debit card they would charge me a $35.00 overdraft fee..It could have been something as small as a pack of .99 gum..I highly recommend switching over to Central Bank!

I don't live in VA anymore and all the problems I've had with them, they refuse to address over the phone with massive wait times or just simply hanging up on you. I shouldn't have to spend $400 on a plane ticket to deal with my account. Shame on you Apple Federal.
