When I came home, 2 large vehicles were blocking my driveway, and I could not park. No one in sight. Eventually, one fellow emerged from the gate to my backyard returning to the truck. He got the others to follow him--they said we are here to trim the tree, but they were waiting for a smaller lift because the one they had could not fit through the gate. I said, "Well, we were not scheduled for this until next week. "Uh, no. We have you scheduled for today," the leader said. "We will call and talk to the boss." "And when you call your boss, remind him that I still have not signed the contract to do this work. xxxxxx (the salesman) was supposed to come by yesterday to have me sign it." I said. So problem number one: the salesperson did not follow my scheduling requests, problem two: when they arrived they climbed over the gate and trespassed on my property and even unlocked another gate to go down to my dock, and left the both gates wide open. problem three: They were prepared to do the work when there was no signed contract. I could go on with much more, but this was enough for me to lose confidence in this company. If they are this slipshod in preparations to do the tree limb removal, then imagine how it could be with tree limbs over my house being removed. That's enough said.

I just bought a house near downtown which had been neglected for half a century. The back yard had a nasty misshapen tree in it, which was surrounded, by other tree stumps, bushes and bracken, and growing through a metal fence and a concrete slab. Oh yes, it was also growing right beside a utility pole. It turns out there was another concrete slab that was hidden under a foot or so of soil. The whole yard was bordered by saplings and small trees which had to come out, and larger trees which had to be pruned, in order for me to be able to put a privacy fence up. Chuck and his guys took care of all of this and more, and he stuck to his original quote. I really can't express how impressed I am with the quality of the work, the professionalism, the adaptability to unforeseen circumstances. and the overall friendliness and good humor throughout the whole process. They took away four huge truckloads of refuse from my backyard, and while he was waiting for the truck to return, Chuck regraded the lane behind my house and filled in the potholes. Seriously. I called them and asked them if I could send them photos with specifications of the trees to be removed in which I did. They responded the job would be about $4700 over text. Of course, I asked him to come out for final estimate and when he came out, I had told him I had other estimates and that if he could do it for $5000 I would give them the job. He said he had to ask the boss in which he texted back a few days later that the boss agreed to this price. (see pics) After that, I started chasing these guys as far as when they can do the job. I had actually had to order a special part for their chainsaw that I paid $200 out-of-pocket for them to do the job. . He kept telling me they would be coming out and then never commit to a date. I also sent a contact through the website as well as they have a instant chat function that goes through WhatsApp, and neither one of those messages were ever answered! After about a month, he told me their guys were in an accident and he would get back when he could do the job. After me chasing him another three weeks he told me all of his crew had died in the accident, which is somewhat unbelievable, as well as that now they cannot honor the price they have given me in writing and the job would be more than one of the lower estimates I've already received. So I wasted over two months chasing these guys for a job that they had confirmed the price only for them to tell me they would not do it. This was very frustrating and upsetting as I had a large amount of landscaping projects to do and the trees needed to be removed. These guys are beyond unprofessional. I don't even know if they have a legit business is as they just get work by throwing up these yard sale signs littering the neighborhood. I had used before and I use again Harrington Tree Service, who is the most reliable professional and affordable tree removal service in town. If you need your trees removed, don't waste your time with these jokers and feel free to get other quotes but I'm sure Harrington will be better than them all. Within 15 minutes they had their vehicle, ropes, and selves in place and were starting the job. They worked effectively and efficiently. These guys were an experienced crew seemingly anticipating each other's needs and actions without much direction or discussion. They removed several large and smaller branches from the tree to maintain the canopy but to remove some lower hanging ones that were too near my house and blocking the light from my patio and yard. Once they finished with removing the wood, they took all of it to the shredder, and then they cleaned their work area of smaller debris following it with blowing the leaves and still smaller debris away.
