I can't recommend CM enough. He represented me as a buyer and was incredibly patient and thoughtful in showing me different properties and learning my innate preferences through my reactions to them. When it came time to make offers he was very quick and organized, always doing a great job of presenting the offer in a timely fashion. For the property I ultimately bought with his help, his care and attention helped greatly as he alerted me to the property's availability just the day after it went on the market. We quickly made an offer and CM very skillfully negotiated to keep the final purchase price close to the initial offer (as opposed to the counteroffer from the seller). A previous agent I had did not provide the same level of service in learning my preferences and showing me good properties and I am very grateful that I had the chance to work with CM. read more

Only 5 stars because there is no option for 6 stars. I sold my home in San Francisco with CM and he did a spectacular job recommending and helping to arrange improvements to the home as well as finally selling it, securing a price well above my expectations (and I think his too!). I highly recommend CM as an agent for selling as well as buying (I bought the place with him as well). read more

CM helped me and a friend buy a 2-unit TIC a few years ago and he recently sold one of the unit as a condo. Both processes went very smoothly and CM guided us all the way through. He knows very well the San Francisco Market and provided us with very useful information ahead so we well were prepared read more

CM was an absolute pro from start to finish selling my home in the Mission district of San Francisco. As this was the first home I have ever owned (20+ years), I was somewhat unfamiliar with the selling process. CM generously provided me with market intelligence and spot on advice early in the process of considering a sale, providing the insights I needed to make the decision myself. I never felt an ounce of pressure to sell before the market conditions were favorable, nor any pressure to rush the decision before I was ready. I greatly appreciated CM's calm, friendly, and highly professional style of communication. He carefully explained everything I needed to know, and patiently re-explained anything I may have forgotten along the way. Nothing was ever an issue with CM! Furthermore, he delivered on every aspect of the process from the selling strategy to marketing (even finding interesting historical archives about the house's origins that I never knew existed), and close. CM has a fantastic team of professionals that he called on to get the needed repairs, renovations and staging completed in record time before the listing, and on budget. He went above and beyond helping me sort out details such as packing up and storing my furniture, tasks that would have been difficult to do myself as I live abroad. In summary, CM is a first-class real estate agent who you will not regret hiring! read more

We couldn't say enough positive things about C.M. He is a unicorn agent - a true expert on the SF real estate market with a designer's intuition and the upmost attention to detail. We bought our home in San Francisco with C.M. in 2013. C.M. patiently introduced us to various different neighborhoods over the course of many months, eventually helping us find the perfect one for us given our needs and wants. He then helped us write a successful offer during a strong seller's market (after working with us on several "practice offers"). By the way - C.M.'s guidance on pricing is unbelievable - he seems to know exactly how much a home will sell for - down to the $10K. Fast forward 7 years, and we just completed the successful sale of the same house! This time, as our selling agent, C.M. showed a different but equally amazing set of skills. His recommendations for landscaping, painting, and staging were all spot-on for bringing out the best of our house. He kept track of every detail, down to tightening the screw on a loose hinge in the kitchen. It seemed to us that there were thousands of details to attend to on the selling side, and C.M. managed to juggle them all while also doing an A+ job on marketing and storytelling (oh, and all during COVID, too). Work with C.M. if you can; he is simply excellent at his craft. read more

C.M. - extremely professional and patient realtor, the best agent we worked with (we worked with a few in the past.) He bought and sold our property in San Francisco. Never pushy and always helpful with his advice and knowledge of the housing market. We highly recommend him to anyone who is selling or buying a house in SF neighborhoods. Ten-star rating realtor! read more

About 10 years ago, my wife & I worked with C.M. to purchase a home in San Francisco. We were first time home buyers in the city and through his guidance and incredible patience, we developed a much fuller understanding about the type of house and neighborhood we wanted. We found our ideal home that addressed our criteria for price, size, style, and proximity to transportation, schools, parks, shopping, and restaurants. We lived in our home for over 10 years until the next chapter in our life required us to move. We started talking to C.M. last year about wanting to sell our property. He was very helpful with his market analysis and selling strategy. Even though it took us a bit longer to be ready for the sale, C.M. was instrumental in making it happen. He had a team of excellent contractors and handymen that helped us with refreshing and upgrading the property. Without his help, we would not have been able to get the house ready to sell at the optimal time. His recommended photographer and stager were both excellent. Friends and family were shocked to see how the property transformed. C.M., with his professionalism and steadfast commitment, has been an essential ally through this emotional journey of purchasing and selling our home. Thank you C.M. We are very grateful to have worked with you. read more

C.M.'s services came to me as a referral from a long time family friend and I can't be more thankful that we were referred to him. As a first time home buyer, C.M., made sure to explain everything in depth and definitely at my best interest in mind. The first weekend started as more of a consultation doing a neighborhood visit to help me solidify the neighborhoods that I would be targeting. Having been in the area for awhile, C.M., is very knowledgeable about the financial and development changes in SF and definitely helps to make recommendations that will provide the buyer with the best long term investment. Once we were ready to make an offer, C.M., we patient and helpful in making sure that we received all necessary documents and information and went through it all in detail with us. He was proactive about letting us know when documents were missing and tracked down the HOA and the selling agent for them. He was able to talk us through the bidding process which led to success on the first go - getting a great house at a fair price during a competitive bidding process. My situation was a little unusual in that we had a lot of issues on the loan/banking side that put our timeline at risk, but CM stepped in as needed and was able to help push the bank side along as much as possible. He was also able to manage expectations with the seller agents and maintain transparency for all parties involved. Even post closing, C.M. continues to be responsive to all questions and is looking to develop long term relationships rather than short term gains. At the end of the day, C.M.is knowledgeable, has deep relationships in SF, and is tech enabled - all important for anyone, especially a busy professional, who is looking to buy in SF. read more

I won't spend time with a long review because it will just echo all the other excellent reviews on this page. CM helped my wife and I find a wonderful house in San Francisco and was everything we could have hoped for in a realtor and more. As first-time buyers he was invaluable in helping us understand the process and navigate the ridiculous SF market. It took us around 6 months and several rejected offers to finally find the right property and CM stuck with us the whole time, never losing patience. It was obvious from the start that CM always worked in our best interests and always gave us an honest appraisal of the market, individual properties and our financial situation. His experience in San Francisco is second to none and every listing agent we met at open houses seemed to know and love CM. He also recommended a lender that got us a great rate, and has continued to help us as we make renovations and plan expansions for the future. Fantastic, friendly and honest person who is great at his job. Would recommend CM Foo to anyone who was looking to buy in SF. read more

I have been working with CM for the past 9 years and I feel extremely lucky to have found him. He has helped me through several real estate transactions and handles everything in a professional manner with great in depth knowledge of the microcosms of San Francisco. His reach extends way past buying and selling, and also has experience with architecture and design which help incredibly when working with such large emotional pieces such as the homes of San Francisco. I couldn't go anywhere else! read more

I just went through buying a home for the first time with CM. He is an outstanding agent whom I would be proud to recommend to family and friends alike. 1. Knowledge and experience: CM has been in this business for almost 30 years. He knows the market in and out. You have a question. He's got an answer. Speaking of experience, CM is equally highly qualified as a seller's agent. Many of his buyers go back to him for selling the property. 2. Professionalism: CM adheres to a strict code of professionalism. When he works for you, he looks out for your interest and yours alone. How do I know? CM recommended an offering price lower than what I initially proposed and even insisted on. How often do agents do that? 3. Operation: CM is very prompt in answering his phone, emails and text messages. He is always on standby. He starts out with a consultation to understand your preferences before he analyses the market and shows properties in specific neighborhoods based on your criteria. If several homes end up in a tie, CM has a lot of insight to offer when comparing these homes and helping you understand the subtle differences in their structure, resale value, current condition, etc. Before, during the offer/counter offer phase, CM aggressively pursues the property on your behalf. He stays in touch with the listing agent and advises you throughout the process and minimizes the stress on your part. 4. Finishing touches: CM is also very knowledgeable in renovation and interior design. After escrow closes, he helped coordinate all renovation needs in the home. He even bought an appliance insurance for me before closing escrow. In CM, you'll find an outstanding agent who is not only knowledgeable in his trade but also passionate about helping buyers and sellers achieve their goals. read more

CM is the best agent we could have asked for as we purchased our first home in SF - not an easy proposition. Outside of being highly knowledgable, and obviously very well known / connected, he was just a great guy that we really enjoyed spending time with. He kept us grounded and disciplined with our budget, walked us through every detail of the home buying process, and was instrumental in us getting our eventual dream home, which was a competitive process. We've recommended him to several friends who have had similar experiences, and to anyone looking to purchase a home in SF - work with CM and don't look back! read more

We have bought and sold with C.M. He is the only person that I trust and will keep going to him when I buy/sell real estate properties again in San Francisco. He's seasoned, professional, and honest. Offers his views on investment, remodelling, and design - let the clients make informed decisions. He is genuine and trustworthy - we feel very comfortable working with him and have developed a long term friendship. read more

C.M is the best real estate agent I've ever had. He is knowledgeable, professional, patient, objective, friendly, and extremely helpful. Not only did he take his time in educating me in the SF neighborhoods, he also assisted me through the entire purchase and post sales process. Consider yourself fortunate to have an agent that really puts your needs first. read more

Working with CM was the best experience my husband and I have ever had with an agent. He is an excellent listener, and works within the buyer's desired parameters. Back when we were new to San Francisco, he made sure to educate us on each neighborhood and it's personality, but best yet, as he patiently toured us through countless number of options, he observed our response as well. While my mind was swirling with numbers, choices, pros and cons, CM shared his observations on how we reacted to each neighborhood. It was so enlightening, I still can't get over it. We found our neighborhood and 9 years later are still happy as can be. read more

C.M. is without any doubt the finest real estate agent I have ever worked with. We engaged him back in 2009 to sell our condo in San Francisco. This was a very tough time in real estate in general, but C.M. stayed positive, worked smart and hard, and brought a huge number of people through to see our unit. Through no fault of his, we weren't satisfied with the offers we got. C.M. was understanding, polite, and fair. He never tried to push us in a direction we didn't want to go. That's why when we decided to put it back on the market again, we called C.M. He was eager to work with us again, and he worked his magic with the listing, pictures, and open houses - and sold our place in a matter of weeks! I will recommend C.M. to any friend or family that wants to buy or sell in SF - he is simply the best. Thank you C.M.! read more

I cannot recommend CM enough. Purchasing a property is a scary task but CM is fantastic. It very quickly feels like you are working with a good friend who has your best interests at heart. I trust CM completely to give good advice. Why? Because he was always looking for the right property and not the 'quick' property. With CM this also means him pointing out why somewhere might not be value for money or a good investment when you are ready to move in tomorrow :). CM takes the view that his clients are not just for today's sale but he hopes to (and regularly does) work with you in ten years time when you are ready to upgrade etc. CM knows his profession inside and out, he is extremely responsive and patient. I got so lucky when someone referred me to CM as he is a star! read more

Working with CM has been an absolute pleasure! From our first meeting until our offer closed, he did a tremendous job in guiding us throughout the entire process. Our first few meetings were focused on CM showing us the different areas in SF as he truly cared about finding us a home that would fit our preferences and lifestyle. His depth of knowledge to each street in SF along with the associated pros & cons was something that we would have not been able to navigate ourselves. As first time home-buyers, there is so much that we don't know, and the process can be daunting and overwhelming - but CMs guidance and expertise helped us land our dream home. We will definitely work with him again in the future and highly recommend him! read more

CM is a true professional and it is clear that he takes pride in his profession. He helped us along every step in purchasing our first home, and due to his thoughtfulness, experience, and vast knowledge, we were able to close in 3 weeks! Even more telling of his amazingness is that his dedication continued even after we moved into our home. CM has helped us with an issue that occurred 2 weeks after we moved in and took it upon himself to resolve the issue, well above and beyond the norm. Therefore, I highly recommend CM to anyone who is looking to purchase real estate in SF. read more

As good as it gets - every time! CM is a people's person. He has your best interest at heart, and you will absolutely come away with feeling you've found your best friend. I signed up on Yelp to write this review. Is that enough said? :) As my sister-in-law, Angenette, has already posted, 'what can we say about C.M. that hasn't already been said?' My husband and I had the same positive experience with C.M. when purchasing our home, as did all of our family whom he helped. He is knowledgeable, a great listener, provides honest feedback, and genuinely cares, all the while, a true professional. We cannot say enough good things about C.M. Thank you C.M.!!! read more

In CM you get a good partner, great insight and the guidance you need to make the right decision for yourself. He will give you the straight answers and advice that can help in what is a very competitive housing market. He is the best. I'm very lucky to have him as my agent!!!! Otherwise, I could have get the place I love..... When I was planning to get my own place and I had 3 neighborhoods in my mind and C.M. was the only agent who I contacted suggested me not to get 1 of the neighborhoods. I am very happy that I listened to his suggestion. Otherwise, I might end up foreclosure few years later. C.M. is not only smart , professional and always know what's the best for his clients. read more

What can I say about C.M. that hasn't already been said? He's wonderful, thoughtful, smart, responsive, and provided nothing but excellent service! C.M. came to us as a highly recommended realtor by our family. Our brother-in-law worked with him, and so has his brother-in-law, our aunt and uncle sold a house with him, and my in-laws went through him to both rent out a home and find new rental property. That's how loved and appreciated he is by our family. What I appreciated most about C.M. was aside from his professionalism was his ability to step into our shoes. Some realtors want to sell you house, but he wanted to help us find our home. He was honest in his feedback, showed us houses with the same layout to help us understand options, and he took time to really understand what we were looking for. C.M. also has a hidden interior decorator talent, so I definitely made use of his skills for when it was time to decorate my new home. C.M. continued to be resourceful even after the sale was done and we were all moved in. Any questions we had on little things like new taxes or recommendations for landscaping - C.M. was our best friend. He also keeps in touch, and I tell you - this is what sets him apart from any other professional I've worked with. He does not look at you as a client but as a friend who he authentically cares about and wants to make sure you get the home that's made for you at a price that makes it worth it. Thanks for all your support, C.M.! Not that I plan on moving anytime soon, but you can bet I know who I'm working with when that happens! read more

I strongly recommend CM Foo as a realtor! We worked with him twice - when we bought our condo and when we bought our current house. He is unbelievably dedicated and knowledgeable. His expertise with flipping houses is invaluable because he can walk through houses and tell you exactly what upgrades you can do and what value it will bring to the property. I always trusted that he was looking out for our best interests and never pushed us in a direction that we wouldn't be happy with. CM wants to build a long-term relationship so you will work with him again and again and he works hard to gain your loyalty. We had a fantastic experience with him. We will absolutely work with him again if/when we look to buy another home. You can't go wrong with CM! read more

We moved to SF in 2005 and were quite fortunate to have CM as a broker. He is extremely knowledgable and trustworthy. We later used CM to sell our home when we moved back to New York. CM is a wonderful real estate agent! He helped my wife and I purchase our first home in San Francisco. We got into the hot real estate market in 2005 and bought a 2-Unit TIC with another couple. CM's local real estate experience was valuable in helping us find value and understand what improvements could be made based on our budget. We had no experience in home ownership and fixing up properties and CM was our guru / yoda / friend to guide us through the process. When we move next, we will talk to CM. read more

We were looking for a house in San Francisco, and during on of our many open houses searchers we met C.M. and that was the light at the end of the tunnel. We gave him our criteria and the same day we had an email with all the houses that would fit our requests. C.M. so kind enough to schedule all the showings for us on weekends, since we lived 220 miles from the city. He made the process very smooth, we never worried about anything, C.M. was on top of everything, he made himself available for us at any time. He listen to you, he gives you a understanding of every aspect of the neighborhood, every aspect of the process, What a enjoyable experience. Then after a couple of months we find our home, thanks to CM. we put our offer and in about 3 weeks the entire deal was done and we got our keys. We would definitely recommend CM for anybody that is looking for a responsible, professional, honest and very knowledgeable professional in this great city of San Francisco. Again we felt very fortunate to find C.M. and hope you too find him to make your dream home come very fast Cheers to C.M. read more
