I decided I needed a haircut on a budget and found Regina Webb Academy online. Their website was…read moreeasy to use, had prices listed, and when I called to schedule an appointment, they were much nicer than the other cosmetology school salon I had called. I got an appointment for the next day and Chelsea did my hair. Regular shampoo and then she cut it pretty much how I wanted. She tried an angled cut but did it so that if I decided I didn't like it, she could make it all even and not too short. I really appreciated that- I don't always know how a cut will look on me so it's nice to get a preview and then go with something else (similar) if it's not what you wanted. She was very nice and listened to what I wanted. The layering was a little bit rough compared to what I've had done at salons in the past but it doesn't look bad by any means. Just different than what I'm used to. The instructor comes by to approve the cut after the cutting is done so that's comforting. I paid $11 (not including a tip) for a great haircut so I highly recommend this if you're needing some trimming or want to get a new look on a budget. I'm not sure if I'd be comfortable trying something bold/difficult at a school like this but for simple cuts it was a really great option!

They were actually remodeling when I visited, they were rearranging some aspects of the salon to make a better experience for their customers. It was overall very clean and had a relaxing vibe. I actually went with my friend to her waxing appointment. Which sounds weird in hindsight, but she was only getting her legs and arm pits waxed so nothing too personal haha! I've never been waxed, so I wanted to see what the experience is actually like. To my delight her waxing lady is a true delight. Myra was SO sweet and made what could be an uncomfortable (and painful!) experience, really fun and comfortable. We talked about our weekend plans, traveling, and yummy food. She was definitely a joy and I can't wait to make an appointment with her in the future! Overall it was a great experience, a beautiful salon, and very affordable! I would definitely recommend!

Recently, my husband and I decided to indulge in some much-needed self-care by treating ourselves…read moreto a couple's pedicure. We had envisioned a relaxing experience where we could unwind together while enjoying some pampering. However, our visit turned out to be quite disappointing due to what appeared to be a lack of experience among the staff members. From the very beginning, it became apparent that the technician assigned to my pedicure was not fully confident in her skills. Throughout the entire session, I observed her repeatedly seeking guidance from her colleague, which not only delayed the process but also raised concerns about the overall quality of the service. I couldn't help but feel uneasy knowing that my technician required constant direction in performing what should be a straightforward procedure. Unfortunately, the situation took a turn for the worse when my husband ended up sustaining several cuts on his feet during his pedicure. This incident was alarming, and it left us both feeling uneasy. In an attempt to remedy the issue, the technician applied alcohol to the wounded areas, which only added to his discomfort. It was difficult to watch him endure that level of pain, especially during what should have been a soothing experience. As for my own pedicure, there were moments when I had to call my technician's attention to certain aspects of her work, and she ultimately had to redo several parts to meet the standard we expected. While I appreciated her willingness to correct her mistakes, the entire experience felt disjointed and less than enjoyable. Given the combination of our unfortunate experiences--my husband dealing with painful cuts and my own technician struggling to provide a satisfactory service--it's safe to say we left feeling more stressed than relaxed. Regrettably, we both agreed that we would not be returning to this establishment in the future. The whole visit was a far cry from the rejuvenating escape we had hoped for, and it left a lasting impression that has made us reassess our choices for self-care in the future.
