After seeing an escape game offer via Groupon, a bunch of us decided to check it out. Booking was pretty easy, then we were asked to come 10 min before the game on the day. In the waiting room, patrons are entertained with riddles. Only one toilet.
The game master explains the basic rules (how the locks work etc), we are taken into a room and then the game starts. I quite enjoyed those: this location has three difficulty levels, but don't be fooled by a one-star level, it's still bloody hard!
He game master usually gives you clues. You can ask for one too, but it's up to them to decide whether you actually need it.
ClueHQ has loyalty cards that will give you some perks. ( such as extra time or a clue) but we never used them so can't comment on it.
On this particular location only thee different rooms (games) are available, but the Warrington branch has more.
The only real draw I have noticed is that they wouldn't let you in if you come too early, so one of my friends had to wait for 10 Min outside on a chilly December evening. read more
