The girl that cleans the locker room in the morning has some serious attitude and very rude. Other than that I love the gym.

I signed up for the 6 week 20 lb challenge and just finished my 6 weeks yesterday and lost 25.7 lbs, yay! The Camp has exceeded my expectations. Plain and simple, stick with the program and you will see the results. The trainers (Julia, Nikki, and Charles) do a phenomenal job pushing you to challenge yourself in ways you didn't think possible. What I like about coming here is there's people on all different fitness levels but one common goal: to be healthy and fit. The 6 week challenge is tough as you will follow a strict diet as well as attending daily fitness classes. Luckily you have support every step of the way and it feels great to watch the pounds shed and your endurance grow. It's been amazing to see how much I really am capable of. The camp's motto is simple and sums it up perfectly: Stay Fit Don't Quit!

I decided a gym membership didn't give me the push that I needed to improve my fitness. I was never going to get anywhere by pedaling on a recumbent bike watching food network and travel channel (however fantastic that sounds). Over the past 4-5 months with high intensity interval training, I've seen very noticeable improvements in my strength and stamina. Every training session is challenging, different, and fun. Jean Carlos is an extremely cool, supportive, knowledgeable, personable, and motivating personal trainer. He's there to keep you on track and to hold you accountable. It's evident that deep down he's actually interested in your improvement as a person and wants to be a part of that journey. It consists of rotations on the treadmill, rower, and the floor. Overall it's about an hour long with an amazing trainer that pushes you to your limit! I mean the team explains it a lot better than me, so go check em out and listen to what they have to say. This specific Alamo Ranch location has such a family feel to it that I instantly felt like a part of the team. Many people often cheering me on who just met me! My first coach was Andre, who was chill and laid back. He was friendly and down to earth, and had a really cool and relatable way of explaining the template and especially the floor exercises. Probably one of the easiest to understand and friendliest coaches I've had at Orangetheory Fitness. My second coach was Tiffany. This was on the next day, and a little later in the morning. Actually, it was the same day as the Everest signature challenge. I was not prepared for that or even know about it going in, but I did my best. Got a spot on the leaderboard after all. The first work out was a hardcore endurance run, which helped build up my endurance and helped especially the next day with Everest challenge (even though I didn't know about it, lol). It was a little more manageable thanks to the endurance training the day before, I believe. Also, forgot to mention but they have the newer treadmills at this location in Alamo Ranch. You know, the shiny new ones that go up to 15 MPH. They have those. I certainly remember, because I went all-out at an intensity somewhere between 12 MPH and 15 MPH, on at least one occasion. Anyway, I thought coach and front desk were both amicable and friendly in general. Had good experience overall. Also, they were handing out free Builders Plant Protein bars, so I snagged a couple of them for post-workout muscle recovery. Even if those things are overall not good for weight loss, especially as they have a ton of fat and added sugar. I wish they would give out healthier protein bars, like RXBar or similar, which has all-natural ingredients. Anyways, I enjoyed it here at the studio in Alamo Ranch at the San Antonio, TX location. Convenient times and location, in my case. I would recommend this studio, as overall my experience was positive. Hopefully will be back sometime in the future.

I had gain a quite a bit of weight and hoped the workouts could help with that, but the pain was overwhelming in my daily life and was my main concern. Because of my weak joints ( and being extremely out of shape) The first couple of months were very hard, but Heath was great guidance every step of the way. I needed a lot of attention due to my problems and Heath provided every once of his expertise and patience, and for a while the workouts served a physical therapy. The group sessions are challenging every time (you can move at your own level and pace), and the workouts will change you. I am stronger now than I have been in years, even though I have a long way to go. My flexibility has improved and the pain has diminished significantly; and I have lost weight which is a BIG PLUS. Heath is a very knowledgeable instructor and a great motivator. His assistants have all been fun to work with. I encourage anyone who is in physical trouble to come and give it a try. It might just be what you need. It was the life change I needed.

I usually…read moredrive together with Vicky Hernandez and we chuckled today because we arrived early (we are usually pressed for time). We got my 6 year old daughter and Vicky's 3 year old daughter situated set up our mats for today's workout. Vicky and I discussed our day as everyone else was chattering with each other since the workout had yet to begin. Jennifer, (the trainer) approached me Vicky and asked me where my "hood rat" was? Then she looked at both of us and asked us if we had brought our "hoodlums" to the workout with us today. This is the definition of what your ignorant trainer called my child:HOOD RAT: skanky, ghetto looking female who always hangs with groups of guys. In no way shape or form is that a description of my child or my friends and my daughter. I've had a long day and was looking forward to my workout that I PAY for to obtain this type of racism? For a company that promotes bringing your children with you to workout and then portray this type of behavior is unethical, embarrassing, and false advertisement. Not only was this said in front of my friend Vicky, but this was also said in front of the other member that were set up near us. If my child is not welcome, all you have to do is let me know and I will gladly not show up to her workout locations. I have been to several locations all over Georgetown/Round Rock and Belton/Temple which I have seen other members bring their children to the workouts with no problems. I have even taken my daughter to other locations with me with out any issues. There were other children tonight at the workout. I didn't see her go up to the parents of those children and ask them where their "HOOD RATS" were. I am NOT the person to pull out the RACE card at all. But, If my daughter is being called a "Hood Rat" while the other children that were also there tonight are not being belittled and humiliated like mine was the only thing I can assume is because we are Hispanic and the other children are White. If you don't want Hispanics at your workouts please let me know. I'll be happy to go elsewhere. To disrespect me as an adult, fine by me. There's no issue there at all because I am able to defend myself. But instead of doing your job, like you are paid to do, you take a low blow to my six year old daughter and have the audacity to say these hateful/hurtful words about her. That is where the line is drawn. I'm saddened by this event today. I've had several trainers reach out to me and apologize for her racist comments made today. At 9:47 tonight Jennifer reached out to me to apologize for tonight (please see attached photo). She "didn't realize what she said was offensive. We all make mistakes and trust me I know. I've been in this line of work for over 6 years and I've had people call me a racist before. But if you are going to apologize, please be sincere. Please meant what you are saying own up to it. Do not cop out and say that you weren't aware that this was offensive. I have sent emails, commented on the Camp Gladiator Facebook page (which has been deleted each time) and no one has addressed this issue. Very much a disappointment to have invested so much money on a company that allow this type of behavior. If I could rate any lower I most definitely would. Thanks for addressing the issue.

Buyer Beware!!!!…read more Very unhappy with Camp Gladiator!! I opened my account and used it for a couple of years. Tried to close my account back in April. Just found out they were still charging my husband for his account. Apparently when I closed my account I was suppose to mention my husband's name as well and since I didn't tell them they won't reimburse us for those 2 months. I was under the impression that our accounts were linked together. They said they are linked together like we could both make changes on each account but its not 1 account. If I wanted to close it I would of had to say his name. His price with discount was like $39 and now he is paying more than both of our accts together. I was like why would I want to pay more for 1 account. Adam my helper said ma'am you'd be surprised of how many people do this. I said it makes no sense. He agreed. I told him when I closed the account, no one told me that would make my husband's new price $89. If they did then again I would of known right away that there were 2 accounts. Adam had the nerve to tell me that he wasn't a mind reader and couldn't know I wanted his acct closed. I informed him that I wasn't a mind reader either and how would I know that our accounts were not together since the only reason he had a discount was due to my employer. I then spoke to Kristen the Escalation Manager, who said she will not reimburse me my money. She basically said the same thing Adam said. Then she told me this happens to a lot of people, this mistake. I said if this happens a lot then why doesn't CG make it more clearer. Sounds like CG is being a little deceiving to me and of course they don't share this information with their clients probably so the clients can continue to make this mistake and loose out on $$. She said sorry there is nothing she can do. Well if you have a CG family account and ever plan to leave make sure you are very clear on which accounts you want to be closed because don't trust that there customer service will inform you. #campgladiator
