He was straight and to the point about what he expects and what he doesn't tolerate and he was not rude at all. He doesn't have food or dart boards yet, but they're coming!! we had a lot of fun!! not much money to get the family out!

For me, Towne Billiards always provides an exceptional experience. Living directly between…read moreCincinnati and Dayton definitely has its advantages but also a few drawbacks. Many specialty shops, restaurants or entertainment aren't available in the immediate area so you have to drive north or south a bit to find certain things you're looking for. This is the exact dilemma I find when looking for a great billiard hall. I end up traveling 30+ minutes north or south (not to mention traffic) to find what I'm looking for. Towne Billiards has changed that by bringing top-tier quality billiards to our area. This is a local business that truly merits the community's support. And, ultimately supporting local businesses helps revitalize and strengthen our community. Towne Billiards opened in the spring of 2024. When speaking with the owner, he expressed his commitment to the business's success and plans to make continuous improvements to enhance the customer experience. I highly recommend Towne Billiards to anyone looking for a great time.

They have a spacious outdoor smoking room with many low top tables, and ashtrays of course, that's totally protected from the elements and has a TV screen. Pretty sure there are also jukebox speakers. The seating in the main bar seems to be all high top. There's a second room for overflow and/or entertainment. One unusual thing is they don't have the gaming machines as nearly all the other social clubs do. That may be a good thing. It's very accessible for handicapped including parking. Food is simple bar food. Drink prices very low. This is a membership club but well behaved guests are welcome. You may decide to join which gives you access to any Eagles club.

Charming & Timeless - A Gem in Middletown…read more The Sorg Opera House in downtown Middletown, Ohio, is a truly beautiful venue. While it could use a bit of repair and restoration in places, that doesn't take away from its unique charm and great atmosphere. We attended a concert there and were so pleased with the experience. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the setting really transports you back in time--this historic space, built in the late 1800s, has an old-world elegance that's hard to find these days.

As you walk the hallway to the theater space, you can feel the atmosphere. Then when you walk in to the theater, you are welcomed with an absolutely stunning view of the three+ floors of visual nirvana. The space is stunning and I'll be the first to admit that It for sure needs some serious TLC. As we talked to folks, they all state that you should have seen it before we started cleaning it up. It is a work in progress so things will get updated as they can. Once the lights dropped and the band started playing, the acoustics in this building was amazing!! We wandered around from the floor to second floor and the audio sounded phenomenal regardless of where you are seated. Dating myself here but I feel like Statler and Waldorf(muppets) should be heckling from the boxes. We will for sure go back. If it's cold outside, wear a jacket or bring a blanket as it gets kind of chilly in here. They are working in that too so that suggestion may no longer be needed.
