Club Ron is a well-known, rather famous establishment. The proprietor Ron is a classical hulking…read moreman, loud and very much 'the Hague' in his demeanor, and has been in this business for decades. He used to be mostly about gay clubs, but he slowly fanned out in to facilitating prostitution, renting out rooms, catering to the fetish crowd and (more recently) running swinger parties. In the old days there was a lot of cocaine going around at these places, and half the girls present were girls looking rather aggressively for clients, but his service cleaned up considerable, after the franchise being close to bankruptcy on several occasions. The service is mostly "what you see is what you get" - a lot of mirrors, blacklight, gold and decorative swans covering three or so former apartments, mysteriously renovated in to a club. Over-all the club has gone very clean, legit (no more delirious heavily tattooed men smoking cigars) but patronage is mostly natives and a cabal of Ron's intimate friends (...). Expect very few people to be able to hold a meaningful conversation other than about cars or the weather or soccer - and most of that conversation will be in local dialect Dutch. The gay events are a little hostile towards heterosexuals, and the heterosexual events can be a little rough on the bisexuals and transsexuals - at Ron's place there is very little middle ground for some strange reason. The swinger parties are especially good of late - always well catered (prosecco? What's up with the prosecco?) and clean, even though the ratio of men is generally 2:1 to women. And the average is is well over 40. But the women do not lack in enthusiasm. I visited the place a few times, and since I am kinda sleazy in my tastes I kinda like it. It's adventure, "slumming", swimming with the local sharks, and "special services" are easy to be had.
