Popped into Club 2000 with two mates with the intention to have few drinks and some food. The place was not full when we got in and we were asked if we have placed a reservation. They managed to find us a table anyways. The service was bit is shambles from the start. Took ages to get our drinks and then a lot of time for the starters. We had two starters-Chicken Achari (Indian Pickle) Tikka and a Royal Paneer. The Chicken was indicated as hot and spicy exactly as I like them. The starters took ages to come and there was no way to get attention of the staff. There were two guys behind the bar and only two on the floor. The place was full very soon and it was quite chaotic scenes all over. The food arrived after considerable delay and it was unlike what I had expected. Presentation wise, the chicken was ok but the paneer looked unappealing. Taste - Chicken let me down big time. It was not worth the wait or price. The paneer was also not great as it was not cooked to my liking however the Sauce (Fenugreek and Cream) was nice. The lack of quality service and the lacklustre food meant that we decided to leave without mains and have dinner elsewhere. The place however has a good ambience and a decent menu. I believe the owner is a sports aficionado and there are many sports memorabilia around the property. It is a shame that the quality or lack of it of the staters didn't encourage me enough to order a Mince Chicken dish that I really wanted to sample. 2 stars. I might go back just once and try my luck at a different time of day and try different dishes and it might just get converted to a 3 Stars. read more

My comments here are strictly for the dishes we ordered, I was super excited and was looking forward to some real curries here in London Let's start with the ambience, nothing much to write, service was okay. We ordered Britain's national dish, Chicken Tikka Masala, the COOK failed miserably, a horrendous curry peddled as Chicken Tikka Masala, a huge disappointment! Fish curry was the other dish we ordered, a mediocre dish at best The curry capital of the world and this restaurant was a big disappointment. The one star I gave was for the nan, the one dish that is so famous and I was dying to have ever since I arrived was a great let down, I'm sure they have better dishes but Chicken Tikka Masala and fish curry were not their strong point. read more

Food ordered Lamb Chops Chicken Pakora Kasoori Chicken Always hear good things about club 2000 but the recent take away I am afraid won't even warrant much of a review. Let's start with the good. The lamb chops where full of flavour and I would recommend these for sure. Now comes the ok which would be the chicken pakora which is ok as a side dish at best and good idea but maybe having a better sauce would have helped. Something to compliment this dish could have made a difference to really lift this dish. Then we come to the bad. Kasoori chicken. Ok maybe as I have never tried this dish it maybe an acquired taste but when it's got chicken in the title I would have thought it would be a safe bet but I was wrong. I will not be ordering this again and could not even manage a couple of bites. Even the sauces not really anything exciting to report. Club 2000 you either really let me down or I picked your worst dishes and had a bad day. But I have had better I am afraid to say. read more

I would give them 6 stars if I could! Food - Excellent! Service - Excellent! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. So much flavor and cooked perfect. I only review places on yelp if they are really exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. This one was exceptionally good! read more

Went for food here last night. Nice atmosphere, the guys were very attentive, and the pakora starter was lovely. They did say that the starter would come out the same time as the main, so we were sitting in the middle of a banquet! We both had chicken tikka masala, I asked for mine slightly spicier than specified on the menu but it came mild. 5pieces of chicken altogether. Jeera rice was lovely but I thought the food was bland overall. Quite expensive e.g. £2 for 2 poppadoms. Nice enough but I prefer my local takeaway. read more

I recently went on a Thursday night and NEVER AGAIN would I go back even if someone paid me. 1.The food is overpriced with small portions compared to other Indian restaurants in the area; the restaurant is shabby and needs a huge refurb. along with the cutlery (looks like old style corning ware and the metal plates need to go). 2.I ordered 5 starters with 2 coming after I have completed the 1st course (even the waiters the plates), 3.When waiting to order the main course all the waiters are either attending other people even though there were only 8 people, or standing around the bar, we are waiting for 20mins before we get their attention. 4.Food arrives 35mins later which is cold and bland, the rice looked like it was the day before! 5.When getting the bill they charge us for the 2 late starters we never ate and made a mess of the drinks added one too many cokes 6.Also not sure if this is breech of H&S, but they had a group of 6 people who must their relatives going in and out of the kitchen with their coats/jackets (no aprons), the women with their open hair(bit risky when you are serving food and letting members of the public go into the kitchen. The total bill was for £70 which is the worst I have ever spent onI would NOT RECOMMEND ANY OF YOU GOING THERE read more

Geting worse started very well but like most places the owner seems to have got things wrong of late. Too interested in sitting at the bar tanking up with an inner ring to actualy ensure quality is there. So a great place for regulars but for visitors I would think twice. The food is average now and small in portions compared to other places. The cost is significant. Its a shame but as with all good things the hard graft is keeping the reputation which is clearly now missing. I would quite happily go there for a drink but doubt if I would take a party of friends there. read more

One star as the beer is good however the food and staff are not so good. The manager and the bold guy are arrogant. The portions are small and the food was crap. Sorry guys but your better staying clear of this place try somewhere else instead! read more
