I called over a month ago to ask for someone to provide an estimate to remove a pellet furnace and install a propane boiler. Each time I called , the lady I spoke with told me about her resume, how she worked at this place for so may years , and only has two more years left at Clow. I asked after a third phone call why they just couldn't book an appointment even it's a month or so down the road. I was told It don't work that way. Horrible service in Thunder Bay for forced air heating. They sent a technician who did not do anything to fix the problem and charged me twice as much as the competition. When I tried to complain, they refused to connect me with a supervisor. Avoid this company whenever you can. If I could give them zero stars I would read more

Have had Clow Darling repair leaking water turnoffs, replace the bathtub taps, install taps for the laundry tub (have no idea why the previous house owners installed taps across the basement away from the drain), install a tankless hot water heater - all work done promptly and neatly with the added bonus that they pointed out an electrical problem that we didn't know we had. read more

Called Clow Darling for a simple repair of a bathroom sink plug. The "plumber" installed a huge stopper which looks suitable for a tub stopper, it looks terrible. This monster stopper is so high from the sink anything can fall in. After several weeks I now find the sink is leaking and Clow Darling won't fix it because the 30 day guarantee is over. The leaking is probably due to the wrong stopper being used. Would definitely not recommend them. read more

Fantastic service, so pleased. I was scared to need to call in the middle of the night for hot water. I know a plumber can be expensive...but the gentleman who came was so nice and professional and helpful. Pointed out what was wrong and fixed us up for the morning. He told us he would order the part we needed for the permanent fix and it ended up costing so much less than I thought. It wasn't just a guy looking to gouge us in an emergency. The next day dealing with the secretary was good and also alleviated our stress. I would highly recommend this business. They installed my dad's on demand water heat and service our furnaces now, very satisfied with their work. read more

We requested a quote for a small new bathroom in our home, the estimator arrived in an unmarked truck in plain clothes. He spent literally two minutes looking at the space, did not take any measurements and did not make any notes. We were told they would call with the quote the next day, we ended up having to call them for the quote (we didn't hear from them for three days). Their quote was close to five times more than any other plumber we've had quote on the project. If Clow Darling isn't interested in residential work, they shouldn't bother quoting on those projects.
