They carry all kinds of feed supplies from chickens, horses, birds to dog food. Since the shutdown of Masterfeeds Edmonton, we have now taken over all of Masterfeeds retail in the Edmonton area. I came here specifically looking for Chicken Layers pellets and was kindly advised of their deal if you purchase 5 bags of feed. They also carry scratch (cracked wheat and corn). We looked around the store and saw a selection of horse brushes, dog/pet leashes, bird feeders, chicken and chick supplies. We enjoyed the simplicity of the space and found it very easy to drive around to the back to get our order loaded into our vehicle. We also liked meeting the resident cat Duchess who was a very friendly kitty.

I am rather impressed with their service when you walk in to order tools. They have always been helpful. I've even had their receptionist take my order when the parts people were swamped! Now thats good service. My only complaint would be that the parts people don't really know what they're talking about all the time (but they're competitors are exacly the same). So do your research and bring in the part #s your looking for. Their prices are usually pretty good, or at least on par with their competitors. But they do need to improve their machine sales and service. They don't give you (or they don't know) all of the information. There was three mistakes and hardships with the last machine order I've been a part of. That causes friction when you are dealing with six figures. From my experience, only some of their service people are good at what they do. I've had one guy cause more damage when he "fixed" a machine. But they admitted their mistake and fixed the problem at no cost.

Unfortunately, because I was at the last minute charged for an accessory that was to be included with the purchase, I gave them a 3 Star rating on Google. When the owner apologized and offered a Gift Certificate for the "misunderstanding", I waited several weeks for same to arrive (it never did). I respectfully waited a week between each of my calls to the owner to see if the GC had been mailed, but never got a response until I changed the rating to 1 Star. Now, 6 weeks later, the "re-mailed" GC finally arrived (no sign of the original). I'd rate the my total experience as "okay", but to be consistent with my edited rating on Google, I'll give them 4 Stars. Your mileage may vary as they seem to have many positive reviews. I'll reserve final judgement to see how subsequent visits to the store go.

Yes, this is why I needed to come here...I went all the way to the Southside to IKEA thinking (SO SILLY me) that it would have the caster for the table we own...yeah, no...the casters now are different on their furniture so that trip was wasted (and I wasn't about to buy another coffee table). Caster Town was my "shot in the dark" spot and after having been here for all of 15 minutes (thanks to a lovely and pleasant gentleman [Duane] who presides over this interesting place), I recommend ALL who need a caster replaced to come here! Bring in the one you are replacing and they will help you by having it or by recommending where you may be able to find it :-)

This is a really tough place for me to review. In the past, when I've needed specific bolts for…read morespecific projects, Fastenal has been there for me. For example, when installing a racing harness in a car, you need a specific grade of hardware to install it and nobody else carried them in town. I was able to buy a handful of the bolts I required and the service was great. I had needed about 10 bolts so I headed to Fastenal to see if they could help as they had been excellent in the past. When I walked in the store, I was greeted by a sign saying that they no longer sell to the public. So without a business and without starting an account, you can no longer purchase anything from them. I do own a small business (which is totally unrelated to what I needed to purchase) but I figured, why not? Then the employee said they no longer sell individual bolts and I would have to buy a box of 50 or 100. Since I needed two different types of bolts and only about 5 each, obviously this wouldn't make sense for me. So I walked out pretty disappointed. Obviously retail sales from individuals would not make up a strong percentage of their sales and I understand that. It's probably more trouble than its worth to sell bolts piece by piece rather than by the box, so I get that too. But it's disappointing nonetheless.
