I dropped at 5 picked up at 4pm and would have done so earlier if I could have. The place seemed over run by dogs like they took too many in & on top of it my vaccinated dog got kennel cough. Jay was welcoming and accommodating given our out-of-town status. Enrollment, including uploading health and safety data as well as scheduling the time that we needed to have our pup in their care, could not have been smoother. We did a test run two days before the wedding for 4 to 5 hours and agreed that if we didn't want to be at the wedding so badly we would spend the day at happy Tails! Whitaker was quickly noted to be a "good boy ". We returned on Saturday early in the morning and left him in good hands until the pick up at closing time on the same day. Everyone was happy and we wonder should we move to Portland in order to use this wonderful doggy daycare? Our dog stayed at her house for a week and had the time of his life in her 1 acre fenced in back yard. It is a dream place for dogs! Lisa was extremely easy to communicate with, super flexible with our last minute plans, and at $50/night, I found her rates to be reasonable. She clearly loves pets, yet isn't one of these dopey pet people who just gets googley eyed over your furry friend. Instead, she is great with pets and people, super responsible, and really cares about what she is doing. She made our dog feel like a part of her home. She texted us pictures of him on walks and at a family picnic at a lake. She could have easily left him at home but intead included him in her plans, which was great. I'm not someone who would even think to ask or want pictures of our dog while we are away, but we eneded up loving them because we could clearly see he was so happy. If all people could run a business in this fashion, oh how our lives would be easier!

Our dog is usually more interested in human companionship than canine companionship, so I told the ladies who checked her in that we weren't sure how she would prefer to sleep (in the open or on her own). When she was checked out, she was calm, happy, and relaxed. I couldn't ask for anything more! These people love dogs and just want them to be happy and comfortable, no matter what their personality. If you dont sign your dog up for anything HUGE chances the dog DOES NOT leave the crate besides for going potty and being rushed at that. Staff arent allowed to use force or discipline if the dogs arent listening yet they do. If your dog pukes or has diarrhea more than once they are given Purina FortiFlora, gastro or pumpkin, if they continue the dog does not eat. All staff claimed to be dog lovers but RUSHING and not making sure dogs arent stuck in crates. News flash excitement and built up energy can EASILY turn into aggression!! Very toxic environment, toxic people and overall bad vibes there. Do not recommend to anyone near this overly expensive dog boarding facility, they do not care about your dogs as much as they say they do. Do not bring your dogs here!!
