I unexpectedly had to find a new stylist to do my extension services (which I understand is a luxury service and normally cost more than other services) I was booked and scheduled over the phone, Then bombarded with emails and text about signing their salon agreement. They were very persistent about signing this form (your appointment will be canceled if you don't sign ahead of time) and it was a bit of a turn off before ever even getting to the salon. When I sat down at the chair, the stylist and I went over the reinstall process, And she began getting to work. At no point before our appointment or during the consultation was pricing ever discussed. I will take partial responsibility for not asking, but like I said, I am used to paying fairly high prices for my service. When we were almost done with my move up, I finally asked about their pricing and was very shocked To hear that they charge $200 per row to move up extensions. I have been wearing extensions for close to four years and never have I paid prices even close to that. I ended up being charged $400 for a service that took less than two hours to complete. I feel like this salon should have been more transparent with their pricing upfront, especially offering luxury services like they do. The service quality was average and most of the appointment was silent and a little awkward. When she was finished with my move up I wasn't even offered to have my hair styled/ curled Which was a little shocking since that is normally included with a service like this (Especially at this price point). I paid for the service and left a tip for the stylist as she did do a decent job and pricing is not determined by her.. I'm sad to be writing this follow up review to my review from a year ago. My topper did not hold…read moreup well, even after using their products I purchased. The hair became very dry and absolutely full of split ends and breakage. My daughter was sitting behind me one day and was shocked by all the split ends she saw on my topper. Lots of breakage 1/2 way down the hair shaft. I used a hair straightener on 350° once in a while after it became frizzy and always used the LA heat protectant. Very disappointed in the quality of hair for the amount of money spent. As far as Lauren Ashtyn's response to my first review, here is an email directly my sister-in-law (also a customer) sent me explaining the "tip request". Lauren replied that her stylists are well-paid, yet in the message she says they work on "full-commission". The stylist at the event will spend up to 1 hour on you. If you are spending $1200 for your topper, plus $265 for products, they are requesting (AT MINIMUM) a $219 - $366 tip. I find that outrageous! I do not even tip my regular hairdresser that much who cuts, colors & styles my hair in a 2-hr. appointment. Keep in mind that your $150 booking fee does not go towards the purchase of your topper and/or products. I'm on the hunt for a less expensive, finer quality hair topper that holds a curl and doesn't suffer from serious split end and breakage issues.

Went to their pop up event where they basically had 1 option for brunettes (solid black-too dark for me) Worked with a stylist who talked me into buying a lighter piece claiming I can just have it colored by my stylist. Btw, you have to pay for your piece and sign a waiver stating you are satisfied with your purchase BEFORE seeing the actual piece you would be getting, which in itself is already a red flag. I end up purchasing that topper. Once I get home and inspect it I see lots of breakage (they call it return hairs however the toppers hair looks more damaged than own damaged, dry hair) my stylist was surprised with the quality considering I just spent $850+ on it. Thankfully my stylist was able to match the color but unfortunately there is nothing that could be done about the quality of the hair and the apparent "damage/breakage" Please do your research! There are tons of other companies out there with comparable prices and amazing customer service. Don't be fooled by all the marketing you see pop up on Facebook or IG. I've emailed a few times and each time was given a short "you signed a waiver we can't help you response" and Lauren: no need to comment on this, just offer your ladies basic training on customer service and encourage some empathy. Typical response from their customer service: "Unfortunately there is nothing we can do because you signed the purchase form stating there are no refunds or exchanges and we cannot be held responsible if it is damaged once it leaves with you.
