The shop is fairly wee and the, ahem, 'pyramid' of canned beer in the center of the floor sort of forces one to move in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction around the room. Along one wall stands the growler (tee-hee) station for purchasing and re-fills, which, by the way, is pretty special. The only other place in town where I've had the pleasure of buying refillable jugs of beer is in the massive Whole Foods store in Kensington. For those wanting to imbibe a 'cold one' directly after purchase, there's a full beer fridge at the back of the shop. CC is excellently placed along Lower Clapton Rd. with a handful of buses stopping right out front. Beer lovers and the beer-curious would do well to visit!

Quite the contrary in fact - all the bottles I have bought here have been excellent. In addition to the wine, a good selection of spirits and beer is on offer. The beer isn't just your run of the mill stella. Instead it is a selection of bottled beers from both the UK and overseas which are more unusual. I haven't worked my way through them all (yet) but there are no doubt lots of enjoyment to be had doing so. Of those sampled so far the beer brewed by the Redchurch Brewary has been particularly good, if a little pricey.
