I've never had a session with Amy Brown of Bella Bloom Fotos, because I, too, am a photographer…read more I have had many not so great experiences with other local photographers, but I have always had a great time with Amy! I went to the opening of her studio in Wabash and loved the fun atmosphere! Instead of being rude like a lot of other photographers, I feel as though she is easy to get a long with and like we are in this together! I've known many people who have used her and loved their portraits and I've even recommended her to my clients when I wasn't available! Her social media pages are filled with fun contests and a HUGE following. :-) From all that I've told you here, if I ever was in need of a photographer, Bella Bloom would be high on my list!

I feel like I need to preface this by saying that I am a professional photographer myself. And if I…read morewere not the sister of the groom, I would have shot the wedding myself. After looking at her website and being impressed with much of the photos on there ((as well as her beloved Facebook page)), I was very excited for her to be doing my brothers wedding. Boy, I wish that I could take those words back! She showed up late, which was only the mere beginning of how unprofessional she((Amy Brown)) and her assistant were. They were throwing around profanity like drunkards at a bar. She was more interested in getting a good shot of the dress and gown of the bride ((over 75 proofs)) than she was in capturing the pure joy of this amazing day. The true colors of this poor photographer was post wedding day. In her contract, she says that it takes 6-8 weeks to get the photos back to the customer. Unless she were using film, which she was not, would it take a photographer 6-8 weeks to get photos back to a customer. When emailed and asked for a more concrete date and to even just have one or two so that my brother and sister-in-law could start their Thank You notes, she was unresponsive for weeks. But when she did respond, her only concern was to see if we were sure we didn't want to put the pictures on Facebook, which we do not ((and frankly, they would be quite the embarrassment towards herself..as you will read more about below.)) Some people in this world still value their privacy and do not want their personal lives flashed all over that social media site. After continually asking for the pictures, 9 weeks later she finally gave us a pick-up date. When my mom went to pick the pictures up ((burnt onto a CD nonetheless)), she had to walk through her dog poop infested front yard where she had left them on her porch. Why did she not have the audacity to either hand deliver them, or for pities-sake open the door? Once home and all were anxious to see the memories captured of that precious day, it was nothing but pure disappointment. ((I live out of state, and viewed them via a private online photo sharing site.)) I have never seen such poor quality of pictures. The flash was either off center, not enough, or by far too much. Her angles were wrong. The set up of the family pictures was generic and unoriginal. There were more multiple shots than there needed to be, test shots included. There was absolutely NO editing done. And to top it all off, there was not a complimentary picture of a single person at the wedding, or in the wedding party. The only 'good' picture was one that the main photographer took of her assistant sticking her tongue out. ((Yes, that is sarcasm!)) In general, she had no passion in what she was there for and being PAID good money to do. All in all, I have never been more upset with the work of a 'professional.' An 8 year old with a disposable Kodak camera could have done a better job. Better yet, go to Portraits by Kimberly or hire Matt Howard!
