I had such a great experience here that I immediately arranged to have my husband come here for…read morelasik as well. I feel like doing a PSA for them. The place is bright and airy and friendly, and I was made to feel like a valued client from the moment I called and spoke to Danielle, in administration, who is extremely nice and patient. First and most important: you meet your surgeon the day of your free consultation, which I've learned isn't very common in the world of Lasik. And you get to ask as many questions as you like. Yes, they have a schedule they adhere to as best they can, but there's no feeling of being rushed in and out the door, pay here, okay, byeeee. No one even asked me when or even if I wanted to schedule my surgery after the consult. There was zero sales pressure. Instead, it's relaxed and friendly and everything is on your terms. I was very nervous about the procedure, particularly after a bad experience at Lasik MD, but the techs and doctors (I had Dr. Balazsi, who's awesome) explained everything multiple times and really eased my worries. There were no surprises, and my husband was even allowed to watch the surgery from outside the OR (through a big window and via a live TV from the laser), which he said was really cool. The surgery itself didn't hurt (TAKE THE VALIUM): the numbing drops worked like a dream (I asked to be doused; they were like, "No prob"); there was just a strange feeling of pressure and a smell of burning hair from the laser, and then it was over. Yes, it's an odd sensation to have your eyes held all the way open with tape and clamps, but breathe through it and trust that you'll be okay. Also, they talk you through every single step, and the nurse/assistant/tech lady lets you squeeze her hand practically to death. (Nathalie? I love her.) Not going to lie, the next few hours kind of sucked. Once the numbing drops wore off, I spent 4-6 hours, eyes closed, blinking as told, crying a bit, feeling extremely sorry for myself. In the brochure, they say it feels a bit burn-y, like you were cutting onions. Um, mayyyybe, if your eyeballs were used as the cutting board. Frankly, it hurt. (But maybe I'm extra sensitive.) Also, and this is kind of key: they explained in advance WHY they don't offer extra numbing drops/painkillers (beyond otc) post-op. Evidently, we need to feel the discomfort, because it makes us blink, creating tears, which helps the healing process. It also helped me feel like, "Okay, they're not just torturing me as some weird toughen-up policy. This makes sense." But once that part was over--I "rested my eyes" (slept) through most of it, which helped a LOT--it was fine. That's when I'd describe things as merely "uncomfortable." Like grit in your eye. But not a stabbing horrible grit. More like it was windy outside at the beach. And that also decreases. It's day two, and I have a minor ache (shouldn't be on the computer) and my eyes are still getting used to focus, BUT I CAN SEEEEEE. And I'm not in pain. And it's just so cool. I can't say enough good things about this clinic and their people. I'm really happy with everything. I recommend Laservue wholeheartedly.

I had complication on the right eye so couldn't finish the surgery, after having my left eye done I started experiencing laziness in my eye so went back and saw the optometrist that was concerned that it could be neurological issue. They told me that they were sending a referral for me to see a specialist urgently after waiting 2 weeks for a call I called the specialist to learn that they never got my referral. Called LASIK twice in two days for them to tell me that someone would call me same day to let me know that it was done No call returned so will have to call them again VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Brilliant service from the assistants you meet just before surgery…read more One of the pre-op vision test technician was not so friendly as he rushed me into identifying letters, urging me to read faster, without hesitation. Repeatedly, I was told I will lose my short-sightedness (due to my age), so I asked if the surgery caused that. Defensively, he denied it. From two past surgeries, I know that it is an immediate coincidental occurrence. I prefer long-sightedness. Any medical question I had was patiently answered by Dr Nguyen. Their facilities no longer have fresh green apples, no more chocolate-chip cookies, no more coffee, tea, French Vanilla, chamomile, etc. Interesting coffee-table books though. I was able to get the touch-up surgery thanks to the lifetime warranty I paid for, despite the certain assurance from another vision-test technician that the Dr. would refuse operating on me, because he believed it would be inconsequential. Thus, dashing my hopes at a corrected vision, and invalidating my financial foresight in opting for the lifetime warranty. Conversely, Dr. Nguyen agreed to the surgery, which was a success. I coincidently did lose my short-sightedness (not due to the surgery, wink-wink). However, all risks and dangers were clearly explained to me beforehand. I am satisfied with the result.
