However, when I later…read morechecked the system, I noticed that my appointment had been moved one week later without my knowledge or consent. I did not call your office to request any change, nor did I receive any confirmation email or phone call regarding this rescheduling. When I contacted your office to ask about this issue, I was told that the change was made at the patient's request, which is incorrect. I clearly stated that I did not request any change and asked how my appointment could be moved without my authorization or notification. Despite this, I was informed that nothing could be done, even though the mistake was not mine. I then politely requested that the staff check with the doctor to see if I could come at any time on my original appointment date, as I am flexible. I was told that the staff member would check with the doctor and call me back. Unfortunately, I never received a call. When I followed up later the same day, I was told that the staff member was still "in a meeting with the provider." When I called again several hours later, I was told to hold, and then informed that she "did not mean to call" me at all. This response was extremely dismissive and disrespectful. As of now, I am still waiting for a callback. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic courtesy from the front desk staff has been very disappointing. This situation reflects very poorly on your office's patient service standards. I hope this matter can be reviewed seriously and corrected as soon as possible. I would appreciate confirmation of my appointment status and an explanation of how this situation occurred.

I started visiting the practice with my second pregnancy after switching from Kaiser over to another insurance provider. This practice shares on call shifts with another OBGYN practice, unfortunately I ended up with one of their doctors I was forced to have a c-section although I had no issues with my labor. It was very late at night and the doctor was clearly very tired, and wanting to sleep. I complained every day about extreme pain and asked to see her on multiple occasions, she showed up on day 5 post surgery and told me to take morphine - said it would have little to no effect on baby while breastfeeding. I chose not to take the risk. She never looked at my incision. The pain continued, I followed up with her in the office less than one week later because my pain was 10/10 and my incision was really bothering me. Again she dismissed the pain by saying it was normal and pushed morphine on me - I declined. They never checked my temperature, blood pressure, or urine during that visit. A few hours later my blood pressure and temperature spiked, concerned about my well being I left my baby and went to the ER. ER doc ran some imaging and said I had a severe infection that had spread across my lower and upper abdomen, this would've been visible to any doctor who had taken a look at my incision. As a parent and doctor, he said he would've never been okay with his own wife breastfeeding an infant while taking morphine. I received great treatment from him, and he actually called me on 3 different occasions to see how I was doing! My baby's pediatrician even called twice to make sure I was recovering okay. Guess how many times Dr. Durairaj followed up? ZERO. Don't Visit This Doctor

I didn't have the best experience with my last birth plans at the Decatur location I do think that location needs a new office director but i love the nurses they are why i always come back. (The office staff is amazing, so I assumed the doctor would be too. I was wrong.) He answered the phone WHILE GIVING ME A CERVICAL CHECK and said "no, it's fine, I can talk." , harassed the nurses at northside while I was delivering, and insisted my pitocin be upped from 2 to 20 the moment he arrived because "labor should hurt." He then plopped down in a chair and did next to nothing for the rest of my labor, leaving the entire delivery up to the nurses. Which, honestly was fine because I wish he'd never shown up. My son is now 5, and I still wake up with nightmares from the atrocious treatment I received from this physician. He shouldn't have a license to practice anything. He truly relishes in abusing the women in his care. Go ANYWHERE else.

My appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM, and I left home more than 40 minutes in advance. Due to unexpected traffic, I noticed around 8:45 AM that my GPS estimated my arrival at 9:18 AM. Wanting to be respectful of their time, I immediately called the office to notify them. No one answered, so I left a voicemail. A few minutes later, someone returned my call and informed me there was a 15-minute grace period. I explained that my arrival time showed 9:18 AM and asked if they could please notify the doctor, since I urgently needed this appointment. I have surgery scheduled in less than two weeks and was seeking a second opinion. I had already completed pre-op check-in and submitted all required paperwork, so I was fully prepared for the visit. Instead of showing any empathy or flexibility, the staff member repeatedly refused to notify the doctor and insisted I call back at 9:15 AM. When I called again, I was told that if I arrived after 9:15 AM, I would need to reschedule. This was incredibly frustrating, considering I was only projected to be only 3 minutes beyond the grace period. I still came, arriving at 9:18 AM, only to be turned away. The front desk attendant told me the nurse had specifically come to the front and instructed them not to let me back. What made this even worse was that the next available appointment was after my scheduled surgery, making the visit impossible to reschedule in time. Based on how dismissive and uncompassionate I was treated throughout the entire interaction, I believe I was treated this way because I am African American while Dr. Elliott and the staff are Caucasian. Whether intentional or not, the experience left me feeling discriminated against and devalued as a patient. Patients deserve fairness, professionalism, understanding, and care--not cold, rigid treatment that leaves them feeling singled out and unheard.

I had before been used to gynecologists who were in and out with the physical exam so quickly that I felt like part of an assembly line. He asked questions, listened to my lifestyle (Poly and Bi )(without judgement) and gave me advice. I have/had multiple female issues from PCOS to endometriosis and being morbidly obese. He trusted me to know myself but was always there through each biopsy, and procedure with his calm reassurance. He makes you feel like you're important, almost like family. I still remember years ago when he performed my D&C that I felt happy to be in his hands because he had music playing in the OR. I still remember it was Ed Sheeran. For some reason, that calmed me. When my most recent biopsy came back cancerous he went to a colleague of his that he had complete faith could handle this surgery and all of my risks.(which are numerous.) When I had my surgery last week, he came by to see me in the hospital. A bright spot in an otherwise scary day. If you're looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, caring, proactive, treat you like you're a person, non-judgmental doctor, Dr. E.J. Aspuru is the guy for you. If I had daughters I would take them to him, I am already hoping he's still practicing when my granddaughter needs one.

My previous doctor recommended this practice highly and I have to say I am incredibly disappointed with my experience. The woman at the front desk was incredibly condescending and outright rude. I am just coming in for a yearly exam and she talked to me like I was complete trash when I stated that I was a self pay patient. My insurance deductibles are incredibly high and would not cover this visit so I have no choice but to self pay until my deductibles are met. She refused to book my appointment and pretty much hung up on me after saying there was nothing she could do to help me because they are a private practice and can choose whatever patients they want. I have never been treated this way by a doctors office or any business in my life and I hope that no one else has to experience this horrible behavior.
