Shocked at how bad the management of this school is. If you are thinking of sending a child here,…read morePLEASE think carefully. Went for a position at this school along with a former colleague of mine. I'm a qualified secondary teacher. My colleague is unqualified but excellent at what she does. We were both offered a role in July 2017 verbally and waited on timetabling. I initially declined the roll but after another approach from the school and reduced hours agreed to teach GCSE. We waited on the timetable. We waited some more. My colleague was given a rough timetable the day before term. THE DAY BEFORE! How on earth can she plan lessons? Is this going to give children a quality education? Turns out I wasn't to be called even though I was told I would - repeatedly. Good job I wasn't relying on this job. I had to call in the end after the principle tried to avoid my email communication about the job. Instead the 'principle' clearly took on the member of staff he could pay peanuts to. I was too expensive. This left the teacher with no secondary experience struggling from day 1. She made it clear (I was there) that she could only teach set hours and had to pick up her children. The principle ignored this and timetabled her beyond the agreed finishing time. She had to sort her own cover on day one. Day two and the same happened. Great start to flexible working hours for a single mother. It gets worse. The principle didn't DBS check the colleague. How was she allowed in the building? Want even worse? When the colleague has walked after a week of this ridiculousness the principle didn't (to date) pay the staff member. His response? 'She never asked for payment'. This school is a complete shambles, clearly with a manager who couldn't manage the basics in education. Awful. Awful. Awful.

What a Super lovely little school. We moved our two children aged 8 & 9 here from a large state…read moreprimary school. They welcomed them in like part of a family. My 9 yr old has dyslexia and after just one half term have made incredible progress. My 8 yr old was having bullying problems at her previous school and is not happy and settled. There are on average 12 pupils in a class with two teachers,so the children get a lot of attention and assistance. The school put a big emphasis on manners and the children say Grace before lunch and stand when a teacher enters the room. The school do not tolerate bad behavior and do not accept naughty children. There is a lot of homework in comparison to my children's previous school but after a couple of weeks the children accept it and just do it. Both my children are improving weekly. My 9 yr old was very very low and extremely demoralized with the whole school experience when he started there in January and after less than one half term he now loves every day and even enjoys doing his homework, the improvement was more than i had ever hoped for. I can recommend the school 100% Its money Well Spent.
