An absolute nightmare to deal with and a joke of a service. They Installed the wrong part on my bike, but while mistakes can and do happen from time to time, they then failed to realise what they had done on 2 more occasions after I took the bike back complaining that the problem hadn't been fixed. On the 3rd time back they admitted they had made a mistake, but not only did they install the wrong part they returned the bike to me with scuff marks on the paint and a busted fairing bolt so the fairing was wobbly. When I phoned and asked for this to be rectified the owner got aggressive and insisted it was not his problem. Eventually the mechanic came on the phone and agreed to sort it out for me as it would only be a few pence for a bolt. My opinion is that if it was only a few pence and damaged by them in the first place they should not have returned the bike without rectifying it. I should not have had to argue about this and be spoke to like I'm a liar. It's simple, your bike should NOT be returned to you in worse condition that when it went in, but that's what happened with these guys.
In addition to this aspect of the poor service, the owner promised the bike would be ready at a certain date on 3 different occasions, but on each occasion he failed to keep his promise. The excuse was always that the part wasn't in, despite previously being told the part was in. well which is it? it's either in or it isn't. Too much waffling around and inconsistencies in his excuses meant I had to wait 4 months for my bike to be fixed.
Quite simply there was a serious failure to carry out the work with reasonable care and attention and within a reasonable time frame so I would suggest you run a mile if you are thinking about dealing with this guy. To top it all off when he finally had the bike ready he agreed to deliver it at a specific time. I waited but nobody showed up. It was now a Friday night and the shop was closed so I sent a very firm email explaining that I was furious at how my whole ordeal had been and that as he failed to deliver on yet another promise that I would have to consider legal action if I didn't get my bike back. In the email I asked him to call me the next day with an explanation but to no surprise he never called. I then called him and asked him if he got the email and when I would get my bike back, he said yes he did get the email, and with an aggressive tone of voice had the nerve to tell me HE wasn't happy with me!?. He then put the phone down and his colleague came on shouting at me and saying that they had tried to deliver the bike the previous night at 5 o'clock as agreed but the house was in darkness. I'm not exaggerating, he was shouting down the phone as if everything was my fault. They said they had waited 30 minutes ringing the bell before driving on home. This was not true as I was sitting in the living room looking out a large bay window onto the street waiting for the van - the same place they picked the bike up... Even if they did show up and fail to ring the bell correctly, the fact that they started shouting at me the next day shows that they can't even understand that their customers are having poor experiences. Instead of arguing back in an aggressive and intimidating manner, they should be asking themselves why the customer is so unhappy - the main guy Dominic is clearly incompetent and cannot deliver on the simplest of promises, not to mention carry out work with due care and attention, or even accept the slightest bit of accountability when things go wrong. He instead argues back and tries to deny any responsibility or accountability. It's like dealing with a 6 year old child.
In summary they are a complete joke to deal with and I would never recommend taking your car or bike to them unless you like cowboy workmanship and shit customer service where you will be spoke to aggressively after they fail to fix a simple problem within a 4 month time frame.
What's interesting is that after I had this experience I started talking to a few friends of friends from around the area and they too had only bad things to say about the place! Steer Clear! (pun very much intended) read more
