Wow! So I was a little put off by this place because Yelp has the wrong address and when I called,…read morethe young man who answered the phone couldn't even tell me the address of the store. But after I went to the store I realized how great it was! I've been here 4 times and the workers really seem to care about the quality of products and they really care about animals. The one concern I did have was 3 out of the 4 times I went, it seemed they were understaffed. I'm not sure if this is true but there were only 1 or 2 workers there when I showed up. It may just have been the times I went in aren't usually busy. However, I bought some dog food on sale and my dog didn't like it, so I came back and returned the dog food (opened bag!) and they traded it without a receipt for his favorite food. That was excellent! I also recently got my dog groomed here and they absolutely nailed it! The groomers are excellent! I was so happy with my dog's new cut, I actually cried! Well done!

In August 2025 after years of decent service, my dog was traumatized during and after his grooming…read moreappt. I should have known by his behavior upon arrival; which had never been a concern. I do recall that this business has had some turnover recently. When I arrived at the pre-arranged time and opened the door to the business I could hear my dog screaming and crying in irritation. I said "oh I recognize that sound" and called his name. The lady at the front said, "oh, that's not your dog". My dog has a VERY distinct sound, it WAS my dog. She took my credit card for payment, which is typical. He was still making his distinctive noise and then it was muffled, turn in to a whine (which could have been another dog). I then noticed the charge on my card - $15-$20 more than the last time. I had received no notification of this change, the rates were not posted in the lobby, there was no statement in the reminder text or when I dropped him off. After this horrible incident and I did not want to call attention to this, I just wanted to get my dog home - he was traumatized - his behavior was so off from any previous trip home from the groomer. Writing this 2 hours later, he his still bothered. When I called the back and asked for the owner/manager (Jolyn ??) it was she who answered the phone and claimed to be the one I spoke with when I was in the shop. I told her how upsetting this was, and how traumatized my dog was and how we were not informed of the price increase. She claimed it was posted on the door, on her desk and online. Well ..... with appts set 8-12 weeks in advanced how would regular customers know?! She claimed she could not notify people individually. The price increase concern, "everyone raises their prices to stay in business". About the treatment of my dog, "it was not your dog", about me reporting her to the BBB and asking for a refund, "if you can find a better price, go there" "have a nice day" I will never return. The owner/manager was flippant about this experience and continued to deny the truth.

Dropping her off at the previous groomers, she'd have those sad puppy-dog eyes and a somewhat panicked behavior as I was leaving her. Not like leaving a child at kindergarten, but more like she knew she was gonna get hurt. When I'd pick her up she acted like she was making a jailbreak. She probably would have drug me out of the place if she could. That is not a joke - she would have. Last time after being home awhile, I discovered dried blood in the fur of her ears. She'd been more and more fearful with every grooming drop-off and suddenly I had evidence of why. That was what prompted me to look for another spot and the good reviews convinced me to give Groomingtails a try and we are very pleased with their treatment of our pup and their work. Here's something amazing I have to add: I don't know why but ever since her grooming, when it is rainy and I bring the pup in and I give her a quick dry with a bath towel SHE SMELLS FRESH WITH THE SCENT SHE HAD FROM LAST GROOMING! I am floored. She is about to have her next grooming and that still works weeks after her last grooming. THAT, is lasting results! And her teeth were pure-white when they were done! Now she wants to drink her coffee through a straw,... oh, wait, that's my wife that does that! Anyway, yeah, it cost more but she's treated gently and the job is done well and I don't feel like I am handing her over to be tortured! I just hope their prices don't go up anytime soon! Peace of mind, Baby!

The Doctor was extremely knowledgeable about local allergies in small dogs and prescribed medication that immediately improved my dog's condition. Highly recommend!!

They are here to make money and that's it no care for animals and disgusting customer service. I want to make note that one particular employee who made our experience disastrous was Irene, the front desk receptionist. So I've boarded my Great Pyrenees here before, not more than 10 months ago so when we needed boarding services here again I thought, why not. Dang. When my fiancé brought our dogs in, they check them in and everything seems fine until Irene tells my fiancé the dogs vaccines are outdated and that we needed $200 worth of shots for them to stay. No effing way. Both of the dogs' shots were up to date, and she tried telling my fiancé that DAPP did not include the dog flu vaccine which it does. I immediately called my regular vet in Boise, and were told that the shots Irene was telling us we needed were unnecessary. This was after we got the dogs in...my question is why didn't you do your job and call our vet to get records beforehand (like many dog boarding services do)? Why did you wait after we got the dogs in and then tell us they need $200 worth of shots? And WHY WHY WHY WOULD YOU ASK "DO U JUST WANT US TO GIVE HIM WHAT HE NEEDS?" without being completely transparent about the details and costs? I'm so glad my fiancé stopped right there to do his due diligence.
