It's hard to find service like this in a local town. Most box stores peak in on you and ask if you need a change room, then toss your new items in a bag and say farewell. The staff at Cliff Rose walk you through each purchase, and then to top it off with a lot of the purchases they hang it on a high quality hanger and put it in a garment bag. Cliff Rose has come a long way since it first opened its doors many, many (many) years ago. Current owner Dave has made some significant changes, and all of them are positive. I first tried shopping here when it was actually owned by Cliff. Cliff was a very nice owner and had a very nice store but the clothing selection was not MY style. There were the standard men's suits, standard men's jeans, and the store really catered to more "conservative" styles. Nice quality and nice clothes, just not my style. Last month I had nothing to do on a Sunday afternoon and saw they were open. Having visited another local clothing store I admire, but having found nothing, I decided to stop in. Am I ever glad I did. Dave has expanded his selection significantly - he still carries traditional clothing lines but has added fashion forward shoes, suits, shirts, socks.... everything! I was impressed that he brought in Sean John, Robert Graham, etc. I couldn't resist picking up a new sports jacket and some red striped socks. Of course tailoring is included. Are you a traditionalist? Conservative? Cutting edge? Laid back? Are you a man? Then you can shop here. Interestingly I saw what appeared to be a woman's jacket and had to ask about it (I might be fashion forward but that would be going too far for me). Dave explained that yes, he is now carrying some higher end women's jackets. After all, a lot of men shop with their wives or girlfriends, so he thought the ladies could also look at something while they were there. NICE! My father was chosen to be best man at our neighbour's wedding about 5 years ago. Since style had changed considerably since his marriage in 1980, our neighbour insisted that my father update, sending (nearly frogmarching) him to Cliff Rose for Clothes. They took excellent care of my father, so much so my Scottish father (we didn't get the stereotype without having some truth to to it) didn't even blink at the expense (keep in mind my father buys shirts that are $12 for 3 or 4 at Peavey Mart - anything else is too expensive). My dad looked really handsome in the suit and we still remember the excellent service that is Cliff Rose for Clothes. When I graduated in 2009, most of my male classmates, along with the majority of the male escorts, rented from Cliff Rose. Everyone was really happy with their rentals. They were in supreme condition and looked great. Now that I am engaged, you bet my fiance will be sent to Cliff Rose for his suit. And my father will be wearing his suit to walk me down the aisle.
