This is my second year in a row using ClientTax, and I'm very satisfied. Service is quick, and I was able to schedule an appointment easily online. The offices are comfortable and clean. I am also confident that my taxes are being filed correctly. I feel that I'm in safe hands with Sarmad. He knows his stuff and follows all the rules, and is able to advise on any questions that I have. I highly recommend this based on my experience. Aaron read more

ClienTax may have a fancy website, but the owner, Sarmad, is disorganized and very rude. My husband and I used his services starting back in 2018. To be fair, he was professional initially and would respond to our questions more promptly. However all of the sudden he started being very short and extremely rude if we asked a question about something relating to our taxes especially when we entrusted him with our personal taxes as well as and business' payroll and taxes. Sarmad messed up the Business' taxes one year so badly we are still getting letters from the IRS, and to date we've had to pay a lot of money to the IRS. Just a week ago my husband mailed the IRS a check because he didn't file the taxes correctly. We've moved to a different CPA. I DO NOT recommend him at all. He is rude, arrogant and he does NOT want to be questioned even when you have every right to. He doesn't do well when held accountable. He is just very unreliable! read more

I've been going to Sarmad to get my taxes done for three years now. He's always professional, kind, efficient, and responsive to email. He helped me with a complicated situation where I accidentally paid the wrong state taxes because I had forgotten to change my address at work. I appreciated his calmness and persistence in communicating with the VA tax department to solve the problem. read more

Highly recommend. There are a few reasons why ClienTax has worked well for me over the past few years--One of which being that Sarmad has scheduling options that are stress-free and flexible. Secondly, I appreciate Sarmad's professionalism and communication. He has always been completely prepared prior to our appointments and has been a very valuable resource. A+ service and his convenient location in Cascades is an added bonus. read more

We used this office to process our 2022 tax returns without any problem, but when trying to use them again for our 2023 tax returns has been a total disaster and met with utter incompetence and lies. We file as married but separate returns. I had my information uploaded and ready to process by March 15th but they barely got my return filed by April 15th. My wife's return has STILL not been filed, and when we call to get a status, we get told they're "working on it", and will call us back - and they NEVER call back - NEVER. They're liars and apparently incapable of processing returns on a timely basis. We've gotten to the point where by the end of this week, we will be filing a complaint with the Virginia Accountancy Board enforcement branch and the Internal Revenue Service and having our now delayed and late return taken to a responsible and competent accountant instead of relying on these incompetent liars anymore. Enough is enough - DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE, THIS SERVICE OR THESE ACCOUNTANTS....total incompetence and lies!!! read more

I can't recommend Sarmad highly enough. He is extremely patient, smart, and giving of his time. I had a tricky tax issue I needed to fix and I am so glad I found him to help me. His pricing is extremely reasonable (On the "Really? You don't have to do that..." side of reasonable), and he clearly knows tax law soup to nuts. He is communicative, easy to work with, and takes the time to explain everything so you fully understand your options and best route forward. Thanks, Sarmad! I look forward to continuing to work with you. read more

Having finally decided that we had too many things going on to do our own taxes we researched and found Sarmad. So glad we did. Thank you to YELP for that! Sarmad is A+. Not only is he excellent in his knowledge and communication, he was really easy to work with and easily got through our taxes. We've found our new accountant and hope to continue to work with him over the years as more changes occur in our household. Highly recommended! read more

When I first started working with Clientax everything went great and I was really impressed by Sarmad's knowledge. The issue started when noticed a discrepancy with my personal tax filings which I had to point out to have corrected. Ok, I said fine, mistakes happen. Then I had my business taxes amended in June end, I was told to sign some documents which I emailed back so that the physical papers could be mailed. It's August 20th, I still haven't received a check so I emailed Sarmad to provide a status on my amendment and was told by Sarmad that he dropped the ball and hadn't mailed my tax documents! I'm furious!, I mean how can someone be so careless. No follow up nothing, just here seating duck. Had I not followed up with him I would have never discovered the documents weren't sent!!! But got paid to do the work! read more

Decent communicator, just not very knowledgeable. If your tax situation isn't very complex, I suppose you can try going with him. Worked with him a few years ago and caught some errors he made before he submitted my filing--I'm paying to not have those kinds of errors made by a tax professional! read more

First time using ClienTax to prepare our taxes. We usually use TurboTax, but with all the changes to the tax law, we felt it best to use a CPA. We were able to get an appointment without any issues. Sarmad is very knowledgeable and was able to get everything prepared in a little over an hour. Their price is reasonable and we were very satisfied with the work done. We will be using ClienTax next year to file our taxes. read more

In the past, my husband and I have only used Turbotax for our returns. This year was a little complicated, so we decided it would be best to have a professional take a look to ensure everything was correct. We are so glad that we did and that we chose Sarmad. He was very professional, organized, and a really nice guy that was easy to talk to. Even though we went over in time a little bit towards the end, he never made us feel rushed and ensured that all of our questions were answered before we left. He also was very, very well priced. We walked out saying we won't be going back to Turbotax again knowing how great Sarmad is. I can't recommend him enough! read more

I trust the integrity of this office and rest assured that I'm getting honest advice. No IRS issues!!!

I have been mostly using either Turbotax or H&R Block, but services provided by Sarmad are far better than any of big names. I have messed up my company records and was in search of someone who not only know book keeping but also take care of taxes and after calling around big companies, couldn't get any help. Luckily, I got Sarmad on my side and am so pleased with services especially they way he treat his clients. I wish I had contacted him before but all's well that ends well. I highly recommend his services and he is definitely my CPA. read more
