Before the event, every time someone asked who I was using and I would tell them, they had such positive feedback about the company I knew I made the right decision. The night of the event, the gentleman working it was so pleasant and helpful. He kept me constantly informed and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. That is a least HALF of what all the other caterers in the area were going to charge. Plus, the food was AMAZING!!! I received so many compliments about the food, you would have thought we paid $50 a plate! Everyone kept asking who our caterer was...HOME PLATE CATERING! As a true testament to their quality, gratuity was not included in the final bill. The owner told me that she wasn't going to dictate how good of a job her and her staff did...that was up to us. At the time, we weren't sure what kind…read moreof menu we were looking for and Bonnie assured us that they could make pretty much anything we could possibly want. The price per plate would depend on the requested menu. They do not do tastings until you pay a deposit, which made us a bit wary from the start. We were very unsure about paying a deposit for a caterer, arguably one of the biggest expenses for a wedding, without tasting the food first. Bonnie told me that she would email me a sample menu and we could talk further once I looked that over. I never received an email with a sample menu and ended up signing a contract with another caterer less than two weeks later (after a complimentary tasting). I just received a voicemail this morning from Timmy's Catering, mind you more than 2 months after I spoke with Bonnie, stating that they will not be taking on any weddings for 2017 at this time. I don't know what possessed them to call me to tell me that they wouldn't set up a contract for my wedding yet, when I never heard back from them in the first place. I cannot speak to the quality of the food because I never got to taste it, but I know that I would never book with such an unprofessional company.

My second concern was flexibility. Not only did Main Street Market Catering meet my expectations, but went above and beyond. During our cocktail hour we had a charcuterie grazing table with a mix of meats, spreads, crackers/breads, veggies, nuts, fruits, and sauces. This was a BIG hit with our guests. For dinner, we had a pasta bar. We served penne pasta with a choice of red meat sauce, alfredo sauce, and vodka sauce with chicken. They also served salad and breadsticks. Since our wedding, I have received COUNTLESS compliments on the alfredo & vodka sauce. I highly recommend Tracey and her team for your event. They answered all of my phone calls/emails in a timely manner, they were flexible and willing to work with me on the menu, they were professional, friendly and overall great to work with!
