I love the fact that they offer free watering testing which is a great service. When I go in here I feel like I'm entering the national library of pools and spas. No one ever yells in here. Nothing is ever out of place. It is immaculate. I have never seen a child roaming in here unattended. The staff behaves as efficiently as a machine. There is a place for everything and no customer is left to fend for themselves. They seem to have everything in stock, and never say "I don't know", the closest thing is "I will find out for you." if they do have to order something for you, it arrives as promised. I have never seen a single staff member on a cell phone, and I have never even heard them speak unkindly to a customer. They open promptly and demonstrate miraculous patience throughout pool season. I went this past Sunday and there were three men waiting outside each with a bottle of water to have tested. Each customer left with the information needed and I noticed they even told one gentleman that his water was fine, it looked good. After years of no working pool-light I called Clearwater to arrange a service call for their techs to come out and replace/repair the unit. I'd spoken with a young lady in detail about the service call, requesting a no-contact (safe distancing) arrangement whereby they'd enter through the front gate and payments etc. would be conducted via phone. And because my phone seems to be quirky at times with calls not getting through, I even left the lady with my wife's phone number to call, in case they couldn't reach me. So the day before, in anticipation of the visit, I made sure the back yard was extra nice - mowed the grass, blew out leaves, swept the pool, added chemicals - it was spotless. Even placed a little sign on the fence where I wanted them to enter as agreed upon. Next morning the techs did their part - came out as scheduled, called me (twice) to say they were on their way, and knocked on the door. But I'd missed the calls, and as chance would have it, no one heard the knock, nor (apparently) were they advised about the gate. And as for that other number I took care to leave, they said they didn't have it, only mine. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. read more

After my first and only experience with Clearwater pools, I can state that there may be some things that they are good at... Perhaps selling pool chemicals, maybe even building a pool, or any number of other things. What they are definitely NOT good at is repairing pool equipment and providing basic customer service. I took a robotic pool cleaner in for troubleshooting and due to screwups that they blamed on the parts supplier... I got it back today SEVEN WEEKS LATER. During that time I received ZERO phone calls with a status update.........I had to call them when 7 to 10 days would go by not having heard from them. It was almost like I was bothering THEM. Unbelievable and completely backwards. Finally today I was able to pick my cleaner back up. Whatever minimum expectations I had at this point, they managed to even fail to meet those, when they gave me back a pool cleaner that was twice as dirty as when I brought it to them seven weeks ago. Never even occurred to them to maybe clean the filters as a sign of goodwill since they had it for seven weeks. Utterly frustrating and insured that I will never do business with them again. When I pointed it out to the employee behind the counter... He stared blankly at me as if to say "what do you expect me to do about it?" Nothing. I had the unfortunate experience of going there today. The two men behind the counter completely ignored me. One went to the back when I walked up to the counter. When I asked the other for assistance, he rolled his eyes and took his sweet time answering because he was busy counting change. Told me someone would be up. I had to find someone myself. There was a young guy who was helpful with chemicals, but not so much in the end. I asked to buy a case of shock. All three grumbled because they had already "locked the door" (???). I told them nevermind! Finally all three useless men watched me (a woman) walk the entire length of the store carrying 40+ pounds of chemicals packed in a box to my car. Didn't point out baskets were available. Didn't even help with the door. I won't go back and I don't recommend them to anyone! The owners should be proud of their stellar staff! Just sad. read more

I had the WORST experience dealing with Clearwater . I hired them for three years to clean my above ground pool at 150.00 a month . they would not show up for two weeks & still charge me 150.00 a month . Also my sandbags busted twice under the care of the pool cleaner & the second time he refused to come & remediate the problem and this happened RIGHT after he cleaned the pool. I WILL never do business in the future with this company & I strongly suggest to everyone the same . After over 12,000 in service contract & 8,000 for a aback ground pool I am DONE with this company ! I had to hire a someone to come remediate the problem after being charged by clearwater for a service they didn't even do . Used Clearwater for 15 years. Had a very frustrating experience trying to get my pool water tested this summer. They never had the stabilizer test materials available to test the water, which is what I was most interested in. Called before going the last time and still no test. This week our pump went out and my husband called to see if they had run capacitor in stock. After two calls, he spoke with someone who said service would have to call him back (still waiting for that call!) I have switched my water testing to another business and love them. My husband went elsewhere and got the part. This is very sad and frustrating as in the past, we have ordered new equipment and supplies. But, will not be going back. read more

We setup an appointment with ClearWater to move our hot tub to our new house and they never showed up. We had people waiting on them for hours. We tried calling several times when their office was supposed to be open but no one answered. When we finally got in touch with someone she informed us that the movers called out sick and she was too busy to call us. We were left in a serious bind and had to pay another company double the price to move it last minute. We won't be using ClearWater again. read more

We bought my hot tub from Clearwater in 2015 and was very pleased with the service back then. Last July we ordered a new cover for the hot tub. Sadly, the young man who took the measurements died shortly after coming to our home but we were not notified that our order was not made. In Sep., we contacted Clearwater about order and another employee made measurements, was supposed to order cover and charged us in full. The order was never made and when we inquired about it over the next 3 months we were rudely informed that we were impatient. In January, we recontacted Clearwater and after much running around, they came clean that the cover had never been ordered and refunded our purchase price. They offered a discount if we would order and sent an e-mail that was kind of confusing, basically without us understanding, expecting us to do the measurements. No follow-up contact was made with us. We thought the cover order had been made since measurements had been taken twice but Clearwater had no records of it. During interactions, Clearwater kept explaining staff problems as if this were our responsiblity. read more

I bought a pool from them back in 2015. My pool busted May 6th. At first warranty didn't want to cover anything but then offered me a new pool at 40% off. First I was sold JUST the pool wall, no side rails, bottom track. Nothing but the wall. I waited a whole month for trucks that was suppose to arrive with the correct & complete pool. Every time I would call the manager was always at lunch or left for the day. Or he would tell me he was still waiting for this truck to arrive. I guess the truck was coming from overseas bc after a month the truck still didn't arrive. I spoke to someone and they told me they didn't see where anything was ordered for me. After that I had enough and brought the pool wall back and bought a new pool from another pool place. I will never again buy anything from Clearwater in Metairie. read more

This place is terrible my father bought an I robot pool cleaner. It's faulty and does not do as promised. He went back to try to return it and get a Polaris... Bought our pool there and we're so impressed with the selection, knowledge, and the options. They really know what they are talking about. We had been to several other stores and the service was less than impressive. Prices were fanteastic, quality was great, and the service after install was just as helpful. They will test your water when you bring a sample and help you quickly figure out what you need. Several times we had issues and after their recommended treatments, no problems. We use Clearwater to repair our hottub. First service call to repair a heating element was okay. Now we have been waiting for months for an additional part and we have to call them each time to check on the status. There are rarely any updates on the arrival of the part and the service desk always says, did we not call you to let you know? The stores are great but the service department needs to be sold off to someone that truly cares about the customer. read more

the chlorine that they sell in the 100 lb drums is cheaper for a reason. it does not work, nor due the chlorine pellets. it is garbage. i couldn't get rid of the green algae no matter what i did. i finally switched to clorox xtra blue from walmart and after a few cups...i havent had any algae in weeks and crystal clear water with way less maintenance. again...do not buy the chlorine from clearwater pools. you will waste your money like i did for years. i live in metairie and have used their products for 15 years. not anymore. and im using a vpn so it says san francisco under my name. trust me i live in metairie. read more

Excellent service. I recently purchased a house in Metairie that needed a LOT of work. The previous owner totally neglected the pool and it looked like a swamp. The people at Clear Water were a huge help and saved me quite a bit of money by showing me how to care for the pool on my own. Tip: If you bring a sample of your pool water to their store they will test it for free and show you how to get your pool in tip top shape. During the summer months I'm in their at least twice a month and keeps my pool looking really clear. read more

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They serviced my pool in April and it has never worked correctly since. They convinced me that a 2 yr old salt water converter broke so I bought a new one for over $900. They then installed it and left a wire loose so it didn't connect to my handheld remote. They never came back to check it and ordered ANOTHER part which they never came and installed. A friend came and found the loose wire and put it back in place. The handheld remote miraculously worked when the wires were in place. Shocker. The salt water converter still doesn't work. I've called multiple times. Gone into the store to complain. They've come out twice since and still haven't fixed it. They never answer when I call. I leave messages that go days-weeks without being answered. As of now, the pool needed salt so they couldn't fix it until the salt was correct. Message left, another part ordered, I am done. No thanks Clearwater. I'm dumb for thinking you might be able to fix it. I've spent my last dollar at your store. Not again. This should be rated zero stars read more

We purchased a 2 person spa. (Laguna Bay brand). The original pump went out within the warranty period. The second pump (just a little over a year later and out of the warranty period) also went out. We replaced that pump. Now the controller board has burned up. We purchased from CLEARWATER SPAS On Vets in Metairie. They were helpful while the unit was under warranty. The 2nd pump that independent tech put in burned out because it was not completely hooked up. We had 2 spas from Morgan and never had a problem (just too big for our needs.) read more

This place has a huge selection of chemicals and supplies so if you need Items for your own pool repairs it a good source. But under NO circumstances should you use these people to Fix ANYTHING!!! I brought a leaking hot tub pump to these folk in May. I was told the seal was Bad. I paid to have it replaced and brought the unit home and installed the pump it leaked worse than when I took it in. so I removed it and took it in again and they told me that the seal they installed was bad and put another one in. I reinstalled the pump and it leaked again. So back to Clearwater. This time I was told I my Volute had a very small crack in it and it needed to be replaced along with new Impeller and a seal. So after paying for theses items and having that work was done I reinstalled the pump and it still had a slight leak. But I ran the tub for an hour to see if things just might need to seat. But after an hour it still was leaking. So back again. This time they told me the impeller was burned up and the seal was destroyed , so in goes another hundred dollars to replace those part and I take the pump home again I didn't even hook it up I filled it with tap water from my sink and water flowed out of the new seal! So back again months go by and I finally get a call and are told it could be the motor! Not exactly sure how a motor that doesn't touch the seal could cause a leak. So I tell them to work up a price and I never hear back from them. I decide just to go over and get my and Take it to somewhere that can actually diagnose the real problem and repair it. I go in to pick it up an the pump is in pieces, 5 months ,250 bucks and the thing is not only no functional, but it is in pieces! I told my pools guy about this and he has stopped using Clearwater pools to get his supplies. if you have any repairs DO NOT use these people they don't have a clue! and you will be just pouring money down the drain! read more
