I ended up in the ER here a few months ago, a place most people would like to avoid. And because…read moretypically Hospital experiences are not good, I'll keep that in mind in my review. I was in the ER for several hours, which at the time, given the fact that I needed to get diagnosed asap, seemed like a really long time. in retrospect after having been to 3 other hospitals since and waiting 10+ hours, that made Morton plant seem much nicer. I was put into a room within about an hour or 2. I was put into tests on an almost immediate basis, bloodwork, ultrasound, and CT. I was admitted within a reasonable amount of time. I'd say that MOST of the staff were a pleasure to be around and work with. there were a few that I preferred to no be around and I was always able to discuss those types of things with my doctors nd charge nurse. the kinder specialist that I saw moved very fast and did everything he could very quickly to figure out what the problem was and start treating it. As opposed to ruling things out one at a time. I believe this shortened my Stay and sped up my recovery A LOT. I had a couple of minor surgical procedures while I was there and I found most of the team that were involved with this were very comforting and had a great bedside manner. they were also very cognizant during treatment that I am not a Florida resident and there were questions surrounding my insurance and whether it would be accepted et. this didn't seem to affect the willingness of them to treat me but treatment plan was constantly thought with in terms of not overfilling me for things I didn't need.

The various buildings have been added as the years go by wherever they could find room. Now I'm a retired Chauffeur who once memorized the entire city of Chicago. I know O'Hare Airport like the back of my hand, including the mythical, hard to find, caged dog pickup area. BUT I couldn't find the particular entrance we needed! Signage is confusing or nonexistent, parking lot lanes are one way only, and the whole place is snarled by cars and lost pedestrians trying to find their way. Fortunately, they have security/maintenance guys riding all over the place in golf carts. I think their job is to direct all the lost patients wandering around the various parking lots! We asked one for directions, and he cheerfully told us to follow him to the correct entrance. From the main parking lot I counted: 1 right turn, 2 left turns, 2 right turns, then slalom around an S curve, go up a ramp, and you arrive at the West Entrance! Would have NEVER found it on our own. 4 Stars for the cheerful guys in the golf carts!

My first visit was in September with Dr. Cooper and extremely successful from security through admitting through transport to pre op to PACU to post op just as this surgery most recently in November. When entering the hospital, you can feel the sense that all staff are fully knowledgeable of the COVID guidelines and abide by them. This makes the patient feel comfortable with the cleanliness surrounded by them. All staff that I have interacted with during my surgeries have been professional, attentive, skilled. Since I have already posted about the first surgery I will comment on my most recent surgery. The staff beginning with the greeters to admitting all wonderful. Fe and Lisa got me on my way in preop to the anesthesiologist who was comforting due to his laid back personality. The PACU gang were also awesome Ginny C, GG, Marcella. Thank you so much for putting up with me. Erin and Jason getting me on my way to walking. Jessica was welcoming. I must give a huge thank you to Patricia and Carolos on the night shift. They were so helpful and understanding as the anesthesia worked double time of me. I have no words to express my appreciation of getting me through the night. I don't think I was this nicest patient in the middle of the night. Jessica C discharged me in a professional manner due to me probably not being the nicest patient when she did report from the nights shift. Kudos to all and MPH is fortunate to have each and everyone of you.

We answered all CoVid questions correctly, and our temperatures were normal (handheld to forehead thermometer). She wore gloves and a mask. She highlighted our names for our 1:30 appointment for the 2nd Hepatitis A shot. Our first was in September at the Tarpon Springs location, which is closed indefinitely. This one is open, large, clean, and all CDC guidelines are being followed for a safe, well visit. Chairs are 6 feet apart, and only one was empty. So Husband and I shared that one until another waiting room opened up with 5 empty chairs. It was a very nice area, like the lobby: clean, with a TV, and chairs spaced out for social distancing. There was no free Wi-fi, but we had good cellular service with Verizon. Our appointment was at 1:30. At 2:15, Marilena brought us into her office. She gave us our immunization records. Then she gave us our shots. She was skillful, friendly, and fast. Going in, it did not hurt. Afterwards it hurt! Then we were done. I would gladly give 5 stars if we had not waited 45 minutes to be seen.

After being unable to afford health insurance for almost 20 years, I was instructed to contact the clinic. They immediately examined me and ran all necessary tests that might be pertinent. Through a combination of mental health and physical health monitoring, I am a different person today on his way to a longer, healthier and happier life that was not even imaginable a year ago. The genuinely caring manner in which everyone at the clinic approaches the patients adds another level of healing to the process that they might not even realize. The clinic is headed by a particularly professional, sapient and informative individual that has shown me an unprecedented level of sincere concern that I have not experienced for decades. I owe her and everyone there more than they know. This is my first and maybe only yelp review. I felt it was important to give these beautiful people the praise they deserve.
