First and last time using this company.!!! They do not respond to customer complaints, there were multiple things wrong for the finish write up. No apologies or corrections. Very unprofessional. Worst experience ever. My resume was very basic and lackluster. While I understand they cannot guarantee interviews, they should be able to help you build your resume so that it can at least get you a screening interview. I was advised by multiple HR TA folks to get my resume redone after seeing what they delivered. I reached out to the company about my concern and was contacted by George who immediately bashed my personally about my length of time with companies not knowing that 3 out of my last 5 jobs since 2000 were contract jobs which have a 6-12 month duration. Diana is correct. Lisa (who happens to be the president believe it or not, answering the infobox emails) does act kind at the very beginning but then can be very bitter later on. I was supposed to receive my resume within 3 days and never did because my original resume writer had a, "personal emergency." Ok, I get it, these things happen. So she tells me she assigned me to a new resume writer and I'll have my resume within a couple hours. Here's my problem - 1. When an associate goes out for a personal emergency, where is management to hand off their workload so you still meet all deadlines? If I didn't say anything I may have gone much longer without getting my resume. 2. I then questioned her if anyone had been working on my resume prior to today, only because I don't want something that get's thrown together just meet a deadline. She got very defensive, refused to answer the question, and said, "either confirm for us to proceed or request a refund." Was I wrong to ask a relevant question like that? It's supposed to take 3 days but you'll magically have an almost perfect one crafted within a couple of hours? Then she escalates it to I believe is her husband, the CEO (same last name), to which he tells me "what difference does it make" and says to drop it because this continuous back and forth is not, "how we work." Well clearly it is since it was Lisa who kept it going back and forth. I tried picking up the phone and calling so that it could get resolved quicker but got no answer. There's no other way to do it. It seems that the owner farms the actual writing of the resume out. The contractor ClearPoint HCO hired was slow and unresponsive. After nearly a year after using them, after spending the money based on promises that they could create resumes that "stand out" and were "eye catching," and would "get you in the door." I ended up with a resume that looked similar to the one I already had. I haven't gotten one call, yet I've submitted it over a hundred times. I have an MBA and a PMP. Lisa at ClearPoint HCO said when she was selling me, I had fantastic and exceptional skills, but when my resume didn't get me in the door, I got, "Believe me, by the time you see a position to apply to, hundreds have already applied. Some of the[m] with equal or better qualification[s] than you" and that I should try networking. There were two typos in her sentence. Can't say this was a good use of my money as the resume they created for me has not been in any way effective. I certainly wouldn't use them again. read more

It's been 7 years since I've job hunted and refreshed my resume. I used ClearPoint for the sole purpose of consolidating my job experience and update with the most current buzzwords to get through the AI process. As part of the intake process, clients are asked to submit job descriptions for an assigned resume writer to tailor your resume to. I provided this information. Once I submitted the resume online for the position I was interested in, it was kicked back within a day. I feel this was a complete waste of time and money. I've had better results networking with individuals via a certain professional website. And the feedback I have received regarding discussing my professional background vs. my recent resume by ClearPoint is that the resume doesn't not showcase my leadership qualities and potential. I will now update my resume based on this vital feedback. ClearPoint, in my opinion, should have human resource/talent management type staff onhand to provide insight to the resume writer as part of the process. ClearPoint, again IMO, does not offer a holistic service. I would not recommend them. read more

The draft resume was awful. They sent me a newly formatted resume using word for word what I sent them in the assessment paperwork. I complained and the CEO of the company said he would take over and told me what his plan was and I agreed. I recieved a useless resume that was so much worse than my original. It had spelling errors, phrases repeated over and over in the same sentence, and incomplete sentences. It was garbage. read more

SUPER disappointing. The original resume writer I had left large portions of my resume intact because I "had phased it so well" and the other half was a complete non-sensical word soup!! I complained and received a new writer. He was far more responsive and I think sincerely tried to help. That said... he didn't start from scratch and kept trying to fix the hot mess the previous writer made. I had to specifically ask to please start from scratch. I spent a ridiculous amount of time editing -- I was very frustrated, as I could have written my own resume in less time than I spent editing his work. I finally gave up and stopped responding, as the work was so below the level of what I should have received. They finally sent me a "final" resume that was the draft version I ignored. The document is easily twice as long as the original resume I submitted for editing; about half I wrote myself and the other half was written in lots of run-on sentences, lots of embellishments and little understanding of my industry. These people should only work on the very basic of resumes. read more
