We built our home in North Ridge Hollow. Every person in the process treated us as if we were…read moretheir only customer. It was amazing. We have never built a home before, but we have heard horror stories. Colleen Loonan opened the door as the real estate agent. She stayed in touch with us for a long time before we were ready to build. We moved on to Barbara Thompson next. She helped us to design and select everything (from ceiling to floor) that we wanted in our home. She thought of things we never would have in terms of practicality. Every subcontractor was equally professional. Our favorite person was Jon Sousa who somehow manages the construction of all of the homes. He coordinates everything and never breaks a sweat when you as the prospective homeowner are freaking out about minutiae. Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff. He has a solution for everything that is just so helpful when you're in the strange new world of new construction. But how does he remember so much --- he must have a really big hard drive. We live in our new home and there were minor issues, like I wish I put outlets in the basement and a light in the pantry, but nothing that really matters. We owned a new house (we didn't build it, but bought it one year after it was built) and I am so amazed about the quality of this home. If you didn't upgrade a single thing, it would be a wonderful home. Of course, if you upgrade it will be a spectacular home. My husband and I knew Rich Rosetti as we all grew into our careers over these last 30 years and he is still the same person, committed to quality and listening to his customer. We had no personal interaction with Rich, we were truly just another Rosetti homeowner. That's not in a bad way. I just don't want anyone to think that we got preferential treatment. I hope you will consider building in our neighborhood.

The quality of the materials they used was great! I did chose to pay for a few extras, like granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, both were totally worthwhile! The contractors were great in helping me pick out colors and materials that would work best and hold up against my kids. The only snag I ran into was the finish on my porch started peeling but once I called, it was attended to right away! I definitely recommend Rosewood Home Builders for anyone who is looking to build a new home.

Which was a picnic compared to how bad he was at selling; we ended up selling for 20% less than what we paid. We later got advice from an engineer which let us know the truth; McSharry had no idea what he was talking6 a3bout and it cost us5we lost him twice.

It's sold! We listed…read moreour house with Julie and Patrick after doing some extensive research on realtors and having sit down meetings with our three top choices. And without a doubt, they were the right realtors for us. More than anything, we needed someone to hold our hands through the process of selling our first house. I think it was Julie who said the experience was more like a marathon than a sprint. One of the things that we found the most appealing were the duo's stats. The ratio of sales price to asking price, and the average time of their listings on market, were fantastic. But what is it they always say? Past results aren't a guarantee of future success? It took a little bit longer, and we didn't quite get as much for the house as we had hoped. But there were a lot of unexpected bumps along the road. Like a tree falling onto the house, and puncturing a hole in the roof, while it was on the market. But Patrick and Julie were always a reassuring voice of calm. Plus, they were able to connect us with people who could help shore up the house to get it ready for going on the market, even when our long time handyman wasn't able to get us onto his schedule. While part of me wishes the couple might have been more aggressive at marketing the property, I don't regret the decision to pass on the more aggressive agent we considered for the listing. With an impending move on the horizon, and the inherently stressful proposition of selling one's most valuable asset, the calm and peaceful disposition of McSharry and Associates was just what we needed. Thanks again to Julie and Patrick for working with us, and even answering our questions after the sale was complete. They never doubted that it would turn out okay in the end. And indeed, it did. Plus, they donate a portion of their commission to a local charity of the seller's choice, which is just the icing on top of the cake. So not only did we sell our house, but hopefully we did a little something to help combat food insecurity within the Capital District.
