My family and I were traveling to Canada for which you need a PCR test to cross the Border. My daughter went to the facility in the Upper East Side on Wednesday! We drove up to Maine on Friday thinking that we would receive her results by the afternoon latest since they say 24 to 48 hours max. NO RESULTS CAME! Today is Sunday we had to come back to New York and are waiting for another test result so we can hopefully get to Canada before Christmas! We called every number and wrote every email they have on their website repeatedly! No answer from any source! Will never go back! I am sure they charged my insurance for a service they never rendered! A Christmas Holiday ruined! read more

Have been here a couple of times and have always been happy with their service until last week. I took my youngest child here as per daycare's request. I booked the appointment online to find when I got there I was told children under 2 years old no longer testing as per CDC guidelines. I relayed this information back to the daycare who was unaware of the CDC change and asked me to ask ClearMd for a letter which I did. I also asked ClearMd to show me the rule online which they couldn't provide. Their story then changed to they didn't have anyone qualified to perform the test on young children. Just received my COVID test results... a day early! I needed a negative PCR test for my travels and when I wasn't convinced that my regular place was able to get me results within 72 hours or less, I had to look elsewhere. Luckily I found ClearMD, and within a 5 minute walk from my office, I didn't have to waste a day or half a PTO just to get tested. I arrived at the Chelsea location without an appointment with the intention of just inquiring about whether or not they take my insurance. There was a bunch of people waiting around for their appointments, but the staff there was efficient and were able to help me. They advised that I make an appointment on the spot and they'd check me in right away. I was here for less than half an hour. It did look like a pop up location more than anything, and it seemed like it was one big room at the back where everyone was separated by curtains. I didn't care about the makeshift aspect of it, but just really needed my results within the 48 hours like they promised. They ended up delivering it more than 24 hours early! read more

Quick and efficient test but despite having a 4pm appointment and showing up at 355pm they took walk-ins and people who had later appointments before me. I escalated and the issue was resolved, but more should be done to see people who have appointments at their time. However, when I was seen the service was excellent. Staff is very nice and friendly, but they don't really seem to know what they're doing. When you are providing a service that affects the life of many people, you want your clients to have confidence that the tests being administered are correctly and processed accurately. When I checked in, the receptionist asked the technician if she had administered the antibody test before, she said once. Then she asked the technician, what's your name? Really? Is everyone here so new to this that they don't even know each others' name? During the time I was waiting for the test to be administered, there were a total of three people who came to see what I needed and they would ask others about who is going to do the test. Not exactly the way I would expect a medical clinic to function. And, can anyone tell me why there was a bag of dog treats on the desk there? Is this a medical clinic or doggy daycare? I hope I didn't make a mistake by coming here. Perhaps I should have just made an appt with my regular doctor. read more

My daughter and I are traveling to Turks and Caicos soon, and we needed a Covid-19 test to travel there. With a 5 day window to apply, we choose the 12 hour test, and were thrilled to get the results back in half that time! Nice staff but 7 months after my covid test in november 2021, they charged my insurance over $4000 for a covid test which was reported as multiple laboratory services. My insurance company is now investigating. read more

Scam...Scam...Scam...BUYER BEWARE I needed a covid test for travel and they said this would be available by 7 PM the day after I took the test. Long story short... the results arrived after my flight took off so I was not able to fly. This is totally a scam operation. They are charging premium amounts for these tests and there is no customer service that can be contacted. I left numerous voice and email messages like others on Yelp with no response and have to dispute this with my credit card company. Do not use this service at all and beware of the others on the streets of New York especially the walk in centers that want your insurance info... I suspect that is the next problem I will have to deal with with this scam company. read more

Got my COVID test here after the LabQ van screwed up and had no record of me even taking the test. Clean, quick, and got my results in a few hours! Testing here is free but they do have a form to fill out and ask for your insurance and ID (you need to upload either photos or files). Website also not the best, they have more locations than noted on the website and even if you pick one that isn't near you, you can go into any of the clinics to get the test done (I went to the one on 3rd Ave between 62-63rd streets). You need to make an appointment in advance. read more

I booked a $389 appt for a rapid PCR test, but had to cancel almost two weeks in advance, I have NOT rec'd a refund and cannot reach anyone by phone or email. They haven't even set up their voicemail. Go to Kamin on 8th Ave instead, they are super fast and much cheaper (or free). read more

UPPER WEST SIDE BROADWAY 67th Street Location. PLEASE note this review is for the upper West side Broadway 10023 location: Too many of these Covid test sites are popping up ( 3 within 2 blocks on the UWS) without fully being ready to open safely and with properly trained staff,information and HPPA protocols in place. I went in for a simple Covid test and after perusing the complex à la cart menu (they even offer in home for over $300 )I was brought into a makeshift exam a chair with a curtain -separating patients /no plexiglass in between patients. I could hear everything other patients disclosed. The physician on call (None of the staff were wearing nametags so I do not have his name , nor did he introduced himself) was a poor communicator. He provided Me with Mis-information in a loud -enough voice that the front desk PA ,Mai , came back and corrected him. She explained to us both that he would have to consult the head anesthesiologist who owns the practice before he could verify the advice he was giving me. I was not comfortable with him giving me the second scheduled test as the first one was uncomfortable (there was also only an empty box of Kleenex in this makeshift room). The PA , Mai , was very astute and sympathetic( She took over. Mai performed the second test and it was much more comfortable. She apologized profusely, stating "He is the physician and it is his first day." Not very confidence - inspiring. Just because you declare yourself a pop-up Covid testing site doesn't mean you're ready to pop open. read more

I paid 95$ for a covid test before traveling. I got the results on time but a month later i found out the billed my insurance over $11,000 for covid related testing. $5200 billed fro Clear MD and almost $6,000 billed from an Anesthesia company. Fraud!! I reported it to my insurance and its now under investigation. read more

I went to ClearMD (67th St.) to get a Covid test today and was shocked to find that they were not following CDC guidelines for distancing. Because it was raining 13` people were sitting in the very small waiting room only a few feet apart. Since these people probably suspected that they might have Covid I found this situation intenable and waited outside with an umbrella for my appointment. I complained to the technician administering the test and she agreed that it was an improper situation but that the clients were reluctant to wait in the rain. I pointed out that a bus shelter was within 40 ft and that life and health was more important than an inconvenience. She again agreed. Every other aspect of the visit was professional. l read more

I paid $389 for an expedited COVID PCR test on 12/26/21. Needed it for travel to Canada. Went to the Queens location. Despite the high test fee, ClearMD delivered on their promise and I received my test results back to me in time for my flight. HOWEVER....8 months later I received an explanation of benefits from my insurance company. ClearMD had also billed them for the test ($4100) and was paid around $290. Since I was a self-pay they should not have charged my insurance company, and since it was for travel purposes insurance should not have paid. The facility at 6th Ave. and 19th St. was OK. Website saying I could access results on their website came quickly in 24 hours. But impossible to access your Covid test results on their website! I created an account, signed in, but their website must have been designed by the owner's nephew. Seems like there is no results there. I called the office to ask how to get my test results but some guy hung up on me. OK experience going to test site but when results are ready...you want to know them. So, avoid. read more

Scheduling an appointment is easy and staff is friendly but they're frequently overbooked, which means a wait and everyone crowds in the waiting room inside the small place. Some of the rapid tests are over $3oo. They are scammers. they dont give results on time either. I missed my flight because of this place. Also everyone is crammed in a small room. No privacy while they are swabbing. Super unsafe. People crammed in an open floor plan. read more

Absolutely awful. I made an appointment for a Covid test so that I could travel Internationally. The results were supposed to be back within 48 hours. They never came because they lost my sample. I was forced to pay $200 for a test at JFK with Adams Healthcare who had no problems getting my results back to me in the proper timeframe. I'm supposed to be understanding because of these "unprecedented times"? No thank you, I had an appointment and waited in line for nothing. They wasted my time and cost me a lot of money. It's very simple: don't make more appointments than you can handle. We would all rather just know that we weren't going to get our results in time than have you pretend that you can do it. From the volume of people that were there when I was, it should have been obvious to them that they were overwhelmed and they should have just allowed fewer appointments but instead they were greedy and took samples they knew they couldn't process in time.
