This was my situation: my family home was unoccupied for a brief period while my mom recovered from some severe health issues. The house was checked frequently, but not frequently enough to catch a leak from our supposedly top of the line new roof. Before we realized it, mold had colonized every area of our house. Upon hearing a description of the situation multiple mold remediation companies suggested I hire an environmental consultant/mold hygienist to figure out the type of extensive protocol needed to deal with the contamination and damage our house sustained.
