The guys at Landscape Liquidators could not have been more friendly or more helpful. So imagine our surprise, this year, when we went back to purchase 6 more bricks to extend the step enhancement. Not one of the three people in the office was friendly or knowledgeable - we had even brought the old invoice to identify exactly what we wanted. Andre made it clear that he would need someone to load the bricks as he had recently had carpal tunnel surgery on his hand. We had parked near the spot where we had picked up the bricks last year; Andre was told to move to a different area of the yard and wait. Apparently the bricks had been moved to a new location during the winter, due to large deliveries of inventory. After a significant wait, Neil eventually left another customer whom he had been helping, approached and told us to back up to our original spot. We popped open the cargo door of the van and waited. Neil asked why Andre wasn't loading the bricks. Andre repeated that recent carpal tunnel surgery prevented him from lifting any weights. I don't know who had p*ssed in Neil's cornflakes that morning, but his response was, "Why are you being such an ass?" When Andre remarked that he had requested help before paying for the bricks, Neil repeated the comment "You are being such an ass!" several times, even suggesting that he wanted to just go back into the office and refund our money. I quietly asked him please to just load the remaining 3 bricks, and we would leave. I thanked him before Andre got back in the van. We left, disappointed, and we are NEVER going back

We ordered a second set of pavers as we decided to complete the sidewalk beside our house. Husband was told a possible delivery date, but no promise. Fine with me as I'm working from home due to the zoonotic virus, Covid-19. Second delivery guy shows up at my house and I'm unable to answer the door promptly as I'm on a work conference call. As soon as my call is done, I go outside to speak with the delivery driver asking if I should move my vehicle to allow access to my front yard. I'm told it's already been delivered and he points to my order sitting on the boulevard of my neighbour's house, TWO DOORS DOWN, stating 'that's as close as I could get'. I said 'well that's not where we live' and asked if I could move my vehicle and then he could drop it in front of our house, but he refused saying something about how the street was difficult....it's just a regular Winnipeg street. I told him the other delivery driver was able to get it onto our front lawn and he started asking me about the laws of driving forklifts on the sidewalk. I don't know, as I don't drive forklifts. He said he won't move it and left. I phoned my husband to let him know that the delivery was made 2 houses down on someone else's property and he promptly phoned Landscape Liquidator. They did come back to move our pavers, but only after getting direction from a man. Seriously? The delivery driver expects us to haul pavers from 2 doors down when filling our sidewalk? Not only that, but who's to say my neighbours, two doors down, wouldn't have claimed our $1250 order as theirs since it's on their property? Pretty ridiculous. Fast forward 2 days and we're laying down the sidewalk and realize we're short pavers. When my husband phoned to enquire, we were told the employee of Landscape Liquidator who took our order input the wrong information to calculate the number of pavers needed and we received too many of one colour and not enough of the other colour. The company said they wouldn't do anything about it as it's my husband's fault and he should have known when he reviewed the order. He's not a professional landscaper, just a guy trying to put in a sidewalk and make his wife happy. They just don't care and it shows through in their 'customer service'. Lesson learned, next time we'll pay a bit more and deal with a company who cares about customer satisfaction. Sigh.
