My first and last time to use a temp agency. They called me to fill at temp to hire position with their client. They called me in to their office for an interview and had me fill out all of their hire paperwork so now i was technically working for them?! No one explained ANY of this process to me prior to getting there. Then they have me go interview with the client. All seemed well and good because I told Clayton the pay i NEEDED and that I could only work for a company that would provide benefits. So I get an email from them telling me that I got the job and start monday... well this was on a Friday. I knew the address and that was all of the information that I was told when I started aside from be there at 9am for your first day. I assumed that was just a first day thing since I am used to working 7-4 and have to work certain hours (as i told Clayton!!!) in order for me to drop off and pick up my child while the daycare is still open. Come to find out they pay was 20k less than what I needed, they would only let me work 9-5:30 which would make me pick up my child after the daycare was closed with my commute!!! and they did not offer benefits at all. NONE of these things were told to me by Clayton. Moreover, Clayton admitted that this job had a quick turnaround and they had been having a tough time getting this position to stick. Well I wonder why! The clients are insane. You have to clock in and out, with an auto deduction of a half hour for lunch- okay sounds reasonable enough- but they don't let you stop to take lunch, which is a major issue for me since I am very anemic and can pass out if I wait too long in between meals, but don't worry your bosses are dieting and will yell at everyone all day because they are hungry and in a bad mood. Just a horrible experience start to finish.
