The therapists and techs were all incredibly friendly, compassionate, and professional. And for as difficult as PT can be with neck and back injuries, I felt supported and truly cared for. I would also recommend Mike to anyone who requires manual physical therapy for a neck injury. He truly was fantastic!

The physical space is very clean, well organized and easy to navigate. Most importantly, the therapists are extremely good, very professional and most of all, very effective. I had Ken for vestibular therapy to resolve eye problems with dizziness, balance, and vision problems. I was amazed at how effective it was given what seemed to be strange activities. Due to a recent fall, I worked with Rachel Hermann on my hip. She made work, and it was work, fun yet very effective. She was excellent and I highly recommend her. I believe a professional should have good interpersonal skills as well as technical skills. She made what could have been tedious yet fun. I also appreciate getting hard copies of the exercises. I am now returning to her for PT on my knee!l

She gets showered now, she says the foods good, she is treated nicely, her call buttons in reach and not one time her hearing aides or glasses lost. First and second floors are normal temperature however third floor is overly warm. Evening prescription drugs had not been received yet from their pharmacy on the first day of arrival. The following day, they still didn't have the drugs from the pharmacy that my wife takes. They did however give her the vitamins and a portion of the drugs that they had available in their carts. The MetroLink trains come by less than a block away and are very loud. Promised equipment has not arrived by the end of the second day. Physical therapy is provided once per day (instead of the twice per day we have had in other facilities). This therapy is four days per week with a group therapy once per week to make it sound like you got five days of therapy. Considering this stay is entirely for rehabilitation, the therapy schedule is quite a disappointment. Fifty percent of the staff seem annoyed to assist the patient, the others are nice. Visiting hours are over at 8:30pm and the doors are alarmed to exit. This makes it difficult to spend evening hours with your spouse. I believe the good reviews on google and other sites are added by staff and are not valid. This is not a location we would recommend or return to in the future.

My mother-in-law spent nearly one year at Manor Grove before she died. She went in initially for…read morerehab for fractures, and ended up staying as a resident. The staff went out of their way to attend to her, keep her occupied, talk to her--in short, they were fabulous. They also were open and communicative with my husband and me about my MIL's care and progress. There are various activities (movies, bingo, live entertainment) for the residents who are able to participate. And there are a couple of resident cats and nicely landscaped courtyards and gardens. We didn't want my MIL to go to a nursing home, but we feel fortunate that the home she went to was Manor Grove. The only criticism I have is that although the food was nutritious, it struck my husband and me as institutional fare. However, they have no objection to family bringing food in. I have no hesitation in recommending Manor Grove.

No staff means no shower, or the loved ones have to spend hours tracking down staff so we can harrass them for a shower. The food is absolute crap. Bread is often stale, out of everything all the time. "Sunday dinner" this week was a cold ham sandwich. Yum! another night it was ham and beans. Did I mention that my mom is paying $12,600/month for this joke of a nursing home? But the biggest issue has been the absolute mis-management - probably bordering fraud - of my mom's meds, which keep her alive. She didnt receive half of her bp meds in January. Stopped receiving her thyroid pills, also. At the end of February, she stopped receiving a vaginal cream that she is supposed to have each night. She went about 2 weeks without it. The nurse told me they were "out of it", but was "on order". The next day, the state pharmacy confirmed that none had been ordered; it was 5 days later when it was finally re-ordered. During this time, her medical records showed that she had been given it every night when they didnt even a new bottle of it. Sounds like fraud to me - doctoring the records to show sonething took place, when it had not. I know of at least one employee who left bc she was unconfortable doing what the new owners were asking her to do - said she could lose her nusing license. At least 30% of residents have moved out. I have no idea why others continue to move their relatives here for short-term rehab. The care and food are both a joke.

He participated in a lot of the activities. Level 2 I would give 3.9 stars. When my father was moved to this unit I realized they don't have enough staff to keep the residents engaged. It's at this level that each resident needs more care but there isn't enough staff to deliver that care. This unit is locked so residents don't wander the facility. Level 3 is downstairs and is a little chaotic. I give this unit 3.1 stars. Not enough care for the needs of every resident exists in this unit too. When you take the tour I recommend spending 15 minutes within each unit so you get the feel for the level of care each resident receives. I do like the level of security they have in place and how clean they keep every room.

The feel is more like home than like a medical facility, though they are competent at handling the medical side as well as the psychiatric side. The treatment staff are exceptionally kind and skilled. We admitted our son to McCallum Place on September 24, 2025, based on multiple assurances from…read moreadmissions staff, the clinical director, and the intake coordinator that ARFID patients would be supported with meals from their safe food list, and that new foods would be introduced gradually and therapeutically. This was the only reason we felt comfortable with such a big step. Unfortunately, that was not the reality. From the moment he arrived, our son was denied food from his safe list and instead presented with standard meals he could not eat. He was told he had to finish every bite or drink Ensure/Boost, and that refusal could eventually mean a feeding tube. Another patient told him Ensure/Boost makes people nauseous, which staff confirmed -- reinforcing his biggest fear (vomiting). As a result, he went nearly 12 hours without eating, became dizzy, nauseous, and panicked, and was texting us that he was starving. When I raised concerns directly with Dr. Slat, she was dismissive, did not address my concerns, and told my son he had to eat everything on his plate with no therapeutic support. She also refused to provide food from his safe list -- even after being informed by Dr. Flynn that he had not eaten all day. This was negligent and harmful, and it left my son more fearful of eating than when he arrived. When I pushed further, I was eventually told by the psychiatrist on shift that the program "is not really a good fit for ARFID kids because of the way meals are set up." This directly contradicted what we had been told by multiple staff before admission. At that point, I had no choice but to bring him home. For families considering treatment for ARFID, please be aware: this program operates on an anorexia/bulimia model and is not appropriate for ARFID. Withholding safe foods and using threats is not the ARFID standard of care, and in our case it caused harm. This was an incredibly emotional and difficult experience for our family, and I hope no other child has to go through the same thing.
