    My un-fired fused glass pieces!
    Ellie A.

Autumn at Clay Owen Studios is awesome! I had signed up for a fused glass class in April and it was sadly put off due to Covid restrictions. Once the studio was open again I messaged and asked if I could take my class as soon as it was safe. Autumn had me come in for a one on one class and I did my project and learned so much! I had some much needed fun and she was patient with me while I asked way too many questions! I love my piece and will definitely recommend her and this studio!

Not too bad for a first piece.

This is probably my most favorite date thus far with my husband. We took the introductory wheel thrown pottery class. Our instructor, Autumn, was very helpful and created a relaxed environment. She really encourages you to be creative and it's amazing watching a lump of clay transform into something recognizable. You get to decide what you make. It's your creation. We made a bowl, small plate and two cups. Another lady in class made what looked like a saki bottle and a vase. We get to go back to paint and fire our pieces. I can't wait to see how they turn out! It is definitely not a child friendly environment. There are creations drying everywhere along with machine pedals, cords and too many mind blowing things that even the most behaved child couldn't resist exploring or touching. (I would be devastated if I were informed our projects got broken. It's more than pottery, it's a tangible form of a cherished memory my spouse and I shared) This would be a great date night, teen/parent bonding, girls or guys group activity. I went with the expectation of checking something off of my bucket list. I left with a desire to learn more and a newly awoken spark of creativity. Messy but FUN. Several friends expressed interest in participating after I posted our pics so I think next time will be a group. Wear something comfy that you don't mind getting dirty! If you've ever wondered what it would be like you have to go. The prices are reasonable too. Make Pottery

Want a creative new challenge in a safe space with the best instruction? This is where you want to go!! Autumn did a wonderful job walking our class through the process of cutting, grinding and soldering glass to create unique and beautiful mermaids. I would highly recommend these classes to anyone looking to scratch a creaive itch. This would make an awesome girls outing or date night!

My husbands beautiful results from the stained glass session with Autumn!

What is Amanda thinking by charging her customers an outrageous $400 for a set of color pencils that can be bought for $200 or less on Ebay and Amazon? Customer service is also pretty crappy here, since I was always treated like an "outsider artist" instead of the professional that I've been for years. Amanda is also a classist bigot who snubs customers that she feels are not bourgeoisie enough for her snobbish standards, which makes her no better than a common racist. Anyway, if you want the best art supplies for decent prices? Then I highly recommend Blick's, Jackson's, Ebay, or even Amazon over Amanda's overpriced inferior establishment. If you want your art displayed on the wall? I also recommend you display anywhere but at Blaine's, because no serious art buyer will ever see it at Blaine's and it will be displayed next to mediocre garbage art that not even a mother would display on a refrigerator door. Do you really want your $500 oil paintings to be seen next to refrigerator marker art that no one would even pay $10 for? I don't think so~
