I have to give my honest opinion of Claudia's I am what I like to call a seasoned mother. I have a 22yr old daughter and a very rambunctious 2yr old son. When I was put in a position to need to find daycare for my son the moment I walked in to Claudia's I knew this was the place for my son to call home while I was away from him. My son is the epitome of a terrible two year old, very rambunctious and does believe he is the boss in every situation. Truth be told he probably needs a little more discipline than anyone in his family is willing to give him. You know he is the baby, its been 20yrs since you had a baby etc. Anyway I needed to find adequate child care and took a whole day off to tour daycare centers in San Angelo. The moment I walked into the quaint little cottage used for the two and three year olds I knew this was the place for us. I immediately had the pleasure of meeting Melinda, who very confidently and kindly told me she would take care of my baby. I explained he was very much a handful she laughed and said I love a challenge. Might I add that my angel(with a tail and horns) still makes Melinda work for her paycheck daily. Not only does she provide adequate care for him she genuinely loves him. As I was leaving that same day I met Shirley who I later determined was in charge of the three year olds and is assistant director. She also very calmly listened to my concerns and assurred me my baby boy would be taken care of. Also Shirley has the pleasure of taking care of my angel daily and he makes sure she is earning her daily pay. Both of these women are truly answering their calling. Dana who is the director of the daycare has always been more than accomodating and more than willing to address and resolve any minor issue. Dana informed me also on day one that she had gotten a degree from ASU I dont think that an educated businesswoman would put her business in any type of jeopardy by not following state guidelines. Mac and Cheese and nuggetts for lunch goody what toddler doesn't love Mac and Cheese and Nuggetts, however the lunches are catered by a well know catering company that I doubt prepare the same thing daily
My little man tells me they have all kinds of goodies for lunch. Also there is a monthly menu posted on the wall that is in plain view for anyone to see what the children's menu is for the day. Diapering is not an issue for us I am not sure when they change my son but I feel if he was going to long with any type of soiled diaper we would have to deal with diaper rash and we haven't I also have to replinish diapers regularly. As for room size I don't see an issue with it and assume that if the rooms were to small the state would not license the facility. I know there are strict guidelines that all daycare facilities have to follow Claudia's is no different. Again being ran by a very educated savy businesswoman who would not still be in business if there were to many issues. Let's be honest any room can seem very small when it has more than one toddler in it. Sometimes people deflect when they are upset about something else and everyone has an opinion, one bad review should not determine your choice in child care centers. I hope this positive note will encourage anyone who is looking for childcare to at least visit the center they are all amazing. KUDO"S CCCCC read more
