We've been with this company since we bought our house in 2013. We were pleased with them until…read moreJanuary 2021. In February 2014 our house was broken into. We submitted serial numbers for everything and received a check within a week. In the summer of 2020 we needed both windshields replaced due to numerous dings and cracks. During very heavy rain storms we had some leaks inside the house. It was an annoyance but nothing a bucket couldn't fix. We started to notice water spots on the ceiling throughout the house and decided to have a roofer come out. After a thorough inspection he noted hail, wind and rain damage. The roofing company contacted our insurance company to get the ball rolling. David Brakefield came out a couple of weeks later to inspect the roof and inside the house. He concluded that there was no wind, hail nor rain damage to the exterior but there was some water damage on the inside and we were issued a check for $430. I informed the roofing company of David's report and they suggested we request a second inspection and this time they would be here for it. Well, State Farm sent David Brakefield back out. He and the roofing company inspect the roof together. The damage our roofer found was easily explained away by David as bird droppings. Long story short, State Farm sent a letter in the mail letting us know they were dropping our home owners insurance but keeping us for life and auto. WHAT!!!!When I called Joe Dufek's office I spoke to Karen who had no knowledge of this letter. When I asked her why were we being dropped she said it's because "we have too frequent claims." EXCUSE ME???? I told her we have different definitions of the word frequent. She offered a weak apology and said she would speak to Joe and get back to me. About a week later I finally get Joe on the phone, after I called him many, many, many times. He too was surprised by the letter. How is it possible that State Farm can yank his clients without him knowing about it?!?! State Farm is crap! This office is crap! I am self employed and Covid has negatively affected my business, but here we are paying for a new roof out of pocket. Joe did apologize and offer to refer some brokers to us. State Farm gladly took our money on time every month but now that we needed a new roof the kicked us to the curb. I'm sure they are no different than any other insurance company, I just haven't been screwed over by any of the others.

Horrible customer service. We were with our previous agent over 20 years, he retired and sold the…read morebusiness to Joel right when our auto and home were set to renew. We needed a new policy for home and wanted a new one auto. Due to my work schedule it is hard to connect on the phone and Joel and I exchanged a few voicemails, so I emailed stating that would be easier since we weren't connecting via phone. He refused to email said he had a few questions and had to talk to me to ask them. My husband called him, he didn't ask any questions, only told my husband he wouldn't get us a quote until we could provide pics of our property. I emailed and told him I would like an auto quote now and also a home quote and we would provide pics prior to writing the policy. He again said he had questions on the auto policy and refused to email questions, keep in mind our current auto policy is with him, so he has access to everything he should need. Needless to say, he lost our business, which wasn't small with multiple cars, trucks, rv, multiple atv, trailer, and home. Customer service means adapting to your customer needs especially when you aren't connecting on the phone.

Contacted Alliance spoke to a few different people than spoke to Matt who was our agent, this was during the holiday told him our policy renewed in March we could visit after New Years didn't want him to have to do this over holiday, he said he would contact me after 1st. Middle to end of January comes heard nothing, reached out and talked to a women at the company. Expressed this wasn't the first time there was no follow up, expressed if they didn't want my business let me know. She said that was not the case explained we had time should start working on renewal mid Feb. I expressed I was looking for communication and setting expectations was appreciated. Roll forward to 2/10, I called as We finished a refi and new company said they send homeowners payments around 30 days in advance of renewal. I called back to Alliance to inquire. This is when the Owner (no clue he was owner, poor customer service) answered, I explained the situation, he told me early March would be enough time, also laughed and told me they were not sitting there playing with their fingers they have over 10k customers and address those with priory first. Conversation ends, 20 minutes later I get a call back From Joel telling me I have had difficulties with their customer service based on notes and told me to find another agency. Wow! I was never rude which I told him as well. When you hire an agency both communication and follow up is expected. I have referred this company to other people which I will never do again. The way the Owner handed this was one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had. Good to know they don't need customers and have 10k. Word to the wise, Joel is always right.. not the customer .
