They did a fantastic job replacing the trim in our windows…read more Our windows were starting to look worn but were still energy efficient. They are in the sunroom of a mobile home where the sunroom was built on a slab foundation as an addition many years ago. Since the addition, Code Enforcement updated its requirement has mandated that IF the windows are REPLACED they must replaced with Hurricane/wind resistant windows. After getting many estimates for window replacement from multiple companies, I explained to Christy at A Pane in the Glass and she and Scott came up with an excellent plan... because our window manufacturer is still in business, they were able to purchase trim from the original manufacturer to replace the existing trim which was severely sun damaged, cracked and breaking off with new trim. The job took a good day but after it was done, our windows look fantastic and like they are brand new! Replacement cost -$13,000-$15,500 Trim replacement - $2,570. WIN FOR US! We are so very thankful to A Pane in the Glass!

So we needed to postpone until we would be here for a longer period of time. Prior to our returning to the area and because they were so respective and informative in our encounter with them in October we didn't hesitate to contacted them and only them to set up an appointment for an estimate and to proceed with the work. But, we waited and waited and no show on the appointment time. Called, got a recording, left a message, no call back. Things happen, jobs run long, people get sick, employees quit We get it! But to not show up, call to reschedule, or call back after a missed call. I change my first statement I'm really disappointed.

They weren't pushy at all and were quick to respond to all my little questions even before we decided to go with them. We ordered everything shortly after Hurricane Milton and everything came in on time and they started work as expected. We have remodeled our 30 year old house pretty much from top to bottom now and I must say, of all the trade company's we have worked with, I do not recall a better experience overall from any of them. The owner Darrin came out and gave us a competitive quote (I got 5 total and they were in line with the lower of 2 others). You could tell from talking with him he is a strong believer in quality and has high standards. Maria in the office was fantastic, she is a very pleasant lady who handled all the paperwork and logistics flawlessly. The install team led by Dylan was amazing. The communication was really top notch. They showed up on time, he explained daily what they were doing, performed the work with expertise, covered our furniture when necessary for removing certain components, and they cleaned up their work area at the end of each day. When it came time for our inspection from the county, the inspector actually commented on how well the windows and slider were installed, and how good of quality the product was; He quoted the minimum ratings for Impact glass and highlighted how much more ours exceeded these minimums. He really sounded impressed which was pretty cool. This was so great to hear from someone who inspects windows every day, on the largest investment we have made in our home! All in all, I wish I could say all of this about every project we have had done on our home, as construction frequently is not a perfect process, but with Affordable Windows and Doors everything went great, and we were very happy with everything. I trust you will be in very good hand with them and fully recommend them.
