$30 RT to Atlantic City on a weekday and they give you $30 slots play money + $15 food credit? Hmm, not bad. Hopping on at convenient Borough Hall (Bklyn) at 9:25pm meant we were the 3rd to last pickup -- we snagged 2 of the last 7 seats, but my bf had to sit next to a weird smelly fat man (you can imagine the type) and I was almost trapped next to the bathroom (but was saved by my tricksy maneuvers!). Traffic to the Jersey shore on Independence Day weekend was challenging, but we arrived by 12:30, which is still reasonable (avg is 2.5 hrs). They played bad movies on the way (Fireproof + Obsessed) and the ride itself was otherwise uneventful. For the return trip, the bus arrived exactly at 6:10pm like they told us and I got back to Borough Hall at 8:30pm. PROS: - They advertise clearly online and flyers are available at the newsstands mentioned on their website. - The newsstand guy at Borough Hall was completely knowledgeable about the details, and even called to verify while I was there. (Other guys at the newsstands selling rival bus tickets knew nada.) - Punctuality. - Everyone must sit in the same seats for the return trip (smart move, to avoid cranky passengers whose "better seats" were swiped by earlycomers on the way home, but kinda sucks if you arrived early to snag a better seat like we did -- AND still had to sit next to the smelly fat man). CONS: - Their website isn't updated with the correct pickup times. Check with the newsstand guy who sells you tickets. - If you get on at the first pickup in Queens you have your choice of seats, but have to sit thru 1.5 hrs of meandering thru NYC picking up more passengers. - If you're at the last pickup and there are no more seats, you're sh*t outta luck, even if you already bought your ticket. - I felt like the $15 food credit wasn't a great incentive since I wanted to eat elsewhere but felt like I couldn't "waste" the credit. Plus, the buffet at Tropicana doesn't open til 4pm and the line at the one other eatery where it could be redeemed had massive lines!! - $40 on weekends, but the same promo offers - not worth it. Verdict? Next time I'll head into slightly less convenient Chinatown instead for the $15-20 RT buses (with $20+ play money, but no buffet). One bus company in particular drops you off at Caesars, which is closer to the center of the Boardwalk and the Piers and Outlet shops, and the bus won't make fifty billions stops to pick up passengers before leaving NYC. read more

If I could give this company a negative rating I would. A large group of us used this company to transport us from Long Island, N.Y. to Albany on June 17th. About an hour into the return ride home, the bus driver pulled into a rest area to look into an AC problem. Long story short, this company's customer service is atrocious. We had several families with small children on the bus, and this company left us stranded for over 6 hours in the middle of nowhere. In the end we wound up having to hire a different company just to get back home. Had we continued to wait on Classic Coach it would have been an additional 2-4 hour wait (8+hr wait is completely unacceptable!) I will say for the record, it appears Classic Coach might be refunding our trip organizer her money. However, for anyone that might be considering this company for transportation, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. If anything goes wrong on your trip with this company, you will be left to your own devices. These guys will do nothing to help you out when it counts, though might refund you later if you get enough people to blast their phones with complaints. read more

Sorry, but Classic Coach failed on every level for me on a trip to Atlantic City. #1) I tried to write a complaint letter to info@classictrans.com and that email address doesn't even work. #2) The phone lines are BUSY almost all the time! It lists departure times from Long Island and Queens on their website, but no departure times from Resort Casino at all. I was told I need to call after 2PM or go to the bus information desk, but even then, nobody picks up the phone. I called three different numbers. #3) A continuation of #2, there are no set departure times from Resort Casino but the operators tell me it leaves between 5:00PM and 6:00PM. It arrived at 5:40PM for me and stayed until 6:00PM before the bus left. #4) If you bought a deal, especially for Newsday, nobody appreciates it. The bus driver complains, the greeter at Resorts Casino is confused. #5) Especially if you bought a overnight package deal, the driver insisted that I had to buy an overnight ticket ($12 or $14 dollars?) just to get back on the bus! It's included already though and I confirmed this with Newsday! He tried to make it look like he did me a favor by letting me on the bus in the end. #6) The website is confusing. I didn't know how to buy a ticket and there's no way to buy it online. You have to call a number and pray you get through. Even the operators acknowledge the busy phone line problem. I was told if you want to buy a regular ticket, you have to buy it at the stores listed on the website. Sorry, I have nothing good to say. It seems as though I've been put through hell. There is a serious lack of communication with this company who is related to Hampton Luxury Liners. Be careful, Newsday deal buyers! read more

I have been going to Atlantic City for years and without a doubt, this is the WORST bus company I have ever seen...EVER! The driver was wearing sneakers, a dirty shirt and to make matters worse, got lost inside NEWARK Airport. Around and around we went until another passenger had to GPS directions to exit the airport. The outside of the bus was banged up and the inside did not fair much better. Then, the driver arrived almost 20 minutes late to pick us up from RESORTS.....from what I heard on the bus, Hampton Luxury Liner and Classic Coach do not hire the best people to drive their buses. This was my first bus excursion. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of leg room on the bus. Each seat on the luxury liner has it's own power supply and there is wifi!!!! The driver was courteous and the trip to Atlantic city was very pleasant. Upon the return the driver ensured I was safely at my vehicle before leaving. Used this service for our wedding in June 2015 as they were one of the only companies who had a trolley for rent and our planners recommended them. The price was way out of our budget and we were too caught up in the idea of having something different than saving money and going with a regular bus. The trolley was sitting at the back of the lot my sister had to walk over to get it. He was very nice. We started driving and he was about to make a right turn instead of a left and it alarmed me. So I asked if he knew were he was going and he said that his GPS wasn't working... so we had to look up the directions on our phone and it took us on the main streets and took so long getting there with the traffic. We had the trolley go back for guests and by the time he got back the ceremony was an hour late. I know they take a long time to drive but they should know this and have the best shorts route planned out and on PAPER incase the GPS fails. The company knew the route and times we needed them there, it was very disappointing to have an hour wasted of our wedding when we could've been interacting with our guests. In the end it was a waste of money, we didn't even get any pictures with it since the ceremony was late. I suggest saving the money and headache and renting the most affordable bus with the best reviews and this is not it. read more

I currently used the 51 passenger shuttle service for my wedding two weekends ago. I had called my Rep on the Thursday before the wedding to ensure that the bus driver had the correct address and would be able to find the venue. She assured me that the driver would find his way through GPS,etc. WELL, this did not happen. What should have been a 15 min bus ride wound up being 45 min and the majority of the guests were late to the cocktail hour. Not only did the driver not have the correct directions, a guest on the bus had to help him get to the venue. Also, my wedding happened to be the hottest day of the year and the air conditioner was not working on the bus. Mind you, this was the first shuttle bus out of 2. The second bus filled with guests did not even make it to the cocktail hour. I would certainly think twice before booking Classic Coach for your wedding day! read more
