They even have a "zoo" section with aquariums and pet fences. Like all other Hornbach stores, there's a straightforward isle layout (you can still get lost) and plenty of staff to ask for help and directions. The staff knows their stuff. It's pretty much like a Bauhaus store but somehow I like the atmosphere in Hornbach more. Unless you live nearby, this is not an easy location to get to (you'd better have a car) - but if you're shopping for home improvement projects then what the hell are you doing on public transport anyway!? Plus the white vans (favored by construction folks everywhere) made it feel like home. MY PEOPLE! My American friend had asked me to get some additional weedwacker string for their weedwacker. I went in, described the colors of the weedwacker to the helpful staff and walked out with some universal string. Huzzah! Thank you to the garden department folks who assisted me even though my Swedish was non-existent.

Clas Ohlson at Gallerian might not be the largest store in the Swedish hardware store chain and…read morethere are certainly nearby stores of the chain which are better but being within the shopping mall, it can be a useful backup location when it is busy which is the reasoning for the extra star. The store is accessed through an escalator - there is also a mobility style lift which isn't too user-friendly as it involves opening and closing the door yourself and then holding down a button and hoping it works - sometimes there's even a delay for it to work to the point the lift can go down and stop, even though it should be continuing - scary. (Why isn't there a help button to call a staff member in case it doesn't work?) The product range is okay but again it doesn't compare with nearby locations of Clas Ohlson as well as the overall feel of the store in terms of features, layout and service being a slight decline. 2*

I had just ordered 3 of them two weeks ago on Amazon for a third of the price at Clas Ohlson. Unfortunately I grabbed the wrong charger and what I need is back in the states. I refuse to pay $30 for a charger that I paid $3 two weeks ago. And not every Clas Ohlson carries them. This store does and in general seems to have more stuff. However, things that I bought 2 years ago are higher in price and are nowmore readily available at Costco US. Those dish cloths are really nice. The store is pretty well organized but still confusing. Which level has what you want? Two information desks had long waits and am I supposed to stand in line or is that white thing a numbering system. It is in Swedish with 3 selections. I have no clue. Even though I am in Sweden, this store is in a massive tourist area and it would be helpful to have a few signs in English. The store is located very close to T Centrallen but I came off the green line. Where is the Ahlen's exit which is close to the Clas Ohlson store. I know Ahlen and Hemkoff have a T Centrallen exit. This store is still worth a look but is no longer the bargain it has been in the past. No cheap knockoff for watch chargers. I don't even know if Stockholm even has cheap knockoffs. While being inside the store I opened my backpack to grab some tissues to blow my nose; and when I…read morewas leaving the security guard asked me to move to the side after and started intimidating me saying that he had caught me on camera stealing and that he saw everything and that he had it on camera. He even searched a pocket in my jacket without my consent (found my wallet). I told him I opened my backpack to get tissues and I showed it to him and he still did not let me go and kept trying to intimate me constantly saying that he saw me that I took something and in the end after he started realizing I did not he said that he asked me one last time if I steal something, to which I replied "I swear I did not" then he said he was going to trust me this time and let me go. I was blindsided and felt so nervous that I did not react as I should have which was to go to the manager of the store. I have called now twice but not sure if they will do something about it. I understand if they saw something suspicious they can ask costumers but not an excuse to intimidate or to put their hands in a jacket without consent. Terrible protocol. But worst experience as a customer specially being from outside of Sweden. Such a shame as Clas Ohlson is usually a nice place but never going to the one in Drottninggatan again in my life and suggest tourists to do the same!

The store is really packed with stuff so difficult to navigate but I seldom just walk in and buy something. I have either checked inline and go in to buy it or even bought online and then go in and pick up here. The selection is good considering the small space and they manage to stay competitive on price as well so great example of brick and mortar shop staying competitive and using e-commerce to strengthen their business. Always friendly and fast service is also a big plus.

It's next door to Brioche cafe and a cute little flower store so you can make a stop in at all three on your next visit here! I don't think I would come all the way to Alvik just to visit this store though. It is a bit pricey and there's not enough stock inside to really make it a destination. I like the look of the place and the general type of items they carry. I would just need a lot more to want to come back. To carry furniture and home goods, I think your store should be much bigger in size. I really would have liked to see a lot more inside the place even if it stays small and where it is right now. Currently, it just feels like a half empty "odds and ends" kinda joint. A very expensive one at that. I can't justify buying a throw pillow for 800 kronor unless it's going to make me dinner and tuck me in at night.
