Dr. Cecil is a passionate physician. However, her business office needs to review some practices…read morethat they are doing. If an individual has vision insurance and health insurance, they are to bill the vision insurance first and then the health insurance. Otherwise it's a type of fraud. I went to their office and what should have been a $10 copay for my office visit, they charged $121. They had my vision insurance and they are the only optometrist I have ever seen for a routine exam that asked for my health insurance information. When I asked them did you bill my vision insurance? The young lady at the desk said nope. Well why not? Now, they did reimburse me the additional $110 that they charged me. But to date still have not charged my vision insurance. Why is that? Oh, I know why, because they'll get a large reimbursement by billing my health insurance. This was for a routine eye exam in order to get new glasses. Not a comprehensive eye exam for cataracts or glaucoma or macular. It was only to get a new prescription for eyewear. I actually read the review by the business owner. Just to be clear, I called my vision insurance before and after my visit . They made it very clear that you are to bill the vision insurance first and then my medical insurance. In the 45 years that I've been paying for my own vision insurance. You're the only company that has ever billed my health insurance first and only. It is a matter of a possible fraudulent business practice. My vision insurance is in the prospect of looking into that and will make recommendation.

But the heart of this place is Brandon Bowen, the owner. Brandon goes above and beyond every single time -- whether it's a routine visit, a glasses adjustment, or a sudden vision concern. He's kind, helpful, professional, and funny -- and he genuinely cares that every customer not only looks great in their glasses but feels completely comfortable wearing them. This is the kind of small business you want to support: locally owned, deeply invested in the community, and consistently exceptional in both service and care. If you need an eye exam or new glasses, go to Le Clair's. You'll be glad you did -- I always am.

I am grateful for the excellent care and service I receive each and every visit. I am especially appreciative of the time that Dr. Hoskins puts in with me during my visits. It was her due diligence during an examination six years ago, that guided the discovery of an eye disease in my right eye. I continue to see Dr. Hoskins and Harrodsburg Eye Center for my annual eye care and am under the care of an ophthalmologist quarterly for my eye disease. My opthalmologist too, was very complimentary of Dr. Hoskins care of me. I feel very fortunate to have good doctors caring for my eyes.
