The staff seem well trained and I have never had a problem with any of the shoes that they've fitted for my children. I once went in because I was concerned that my daughter's shoes weren't fitting correctly, and the member of staff whose opinion I sought was very thorough, and she even asked her colleague to come and give a second opinion. It can sometimes be busy, and they don't always have much choice in a particular size, but I suspect this is because Clarks are (as far as I know) the only shop in Gloucester that sells fitted, quality children's shoes. They're not cheap, but you get what you pay for where children's shoes are concerned. I would recommend this store to anyone.

And, of course, there is a very good one. They sell shoes of a superb quality. Admittedly you're maybe not going to find all the most up to date fashions in a Clarks shop, but you will find simple, comfortable, classic styles which are likely to last you a lifetime. If you need shoes sensible shoes, then this will always be the place to go. Most people who were school children in Britain during the last 50 years will remember being dragged along by the hand to have their feet measured and fitted careful to new school shoes at the end of every August. Clarks deliver a very good service, and employees know their stuff.

Two thirds of the floor space is given over to ladies and gentlemans shoes. There are usually displays laid out either side of the entrance door, and then each side wall is full of shoes on display and there are usually central stands with shoes that are reduced in the sale for example. There are about half a dozen seats for you to try shoes on so I have never found this to be a problem and the staff are both friendly and attentive. They do some fabulous shoes, traditional sensible shoes and some extremely fancy shoes and sandals for special occasions - you know you're worth it! Also do a good range of handbags - the latest Radleys for example are usually on display. They have a huge range of boots in the winter and always in really great leathers. The other third of the store is taken over by the childrens department, lovely colourful shoes and good staff on hand to measure your childs feet and ensure a good fit. Really recommend this shop.

The sale was on at the time, and many lines of shoes and boots were greatly reduced, although sadly they didn't have any bargains in my daughter's size. The shoes are expensive but good quality and it's worth it for the peace of mind that the shoes fit well. My only complaint is that they didn't have much choice in my daughter's size - despite appearing to sell dozens of styles and colours, we only had 2 pairs to choose from, and she is not an unusual size.

The shoes are on display in the window here and they do look very visually appealing. They do a great selection of styles and colours, though not for the shrinking violets - these are shoes to make a statement. Most of them appear to have killer heels though I also think that they do sell some flat shoes and they do quite a large selection of boots in the winter. The quality of the leather is really good and for that alone I don't think that they are over priced.
